3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI don't why but I've always enjoyed pretty much any "Square Enix" game (whether it be Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts). Looking back I'd say my favorite Square Enix game would have to be "Chocobo's dungeon 2" (with the badass known as Chocobo).
For those of you who haven't played it, "Chocobo's dungeon 2" was a really early playstation game where you navigated through mazes/dungeons in order to collect secret items and kill baddies (sounds familiar huh lol). Anyway, I always thought the game really was awesome as it contained a whole bunch of FF characters that were portrayed in a different light (the game also was riddled with secrets and hidden surprises) and had a pretty good replay value.
What's your favorite Square Enix game?
Man, now I regret ever selling my old playstation lmao
Robot Alchemic Drive.
y'know, before Enix got bought out by Square and went to shit
When all else fails, blame the casuals!
Chrono Trigger
You know, before Squaresoft became Square Enix and went to shit.
Just Cause 2. Then again, its the only Square Enix game I've played.
Since they became Square-Enix the only good game they've made is Just Cause 2.

Enix MERGED with Square. And Enix has absolutely nothing to do with Square turning to shit, as their development and creative teams are separate.
Face it, Square just sucks now.
Yes, for me it is also Final Fantasy 7.
Best game ever and the most fun to play.
Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts (both of them). Fantastic games. Square Enix has been kind of... meh... lately.

The only other RPGs made by Nintendo before SMRPG were the original (crappy) Fire Emblem games and the Mother series. And only one of the Mother games made it to US shores.
On the OTHER hand, RPGs made by Nintendo after SMRPG were Pokemon, the Paper Mario and Mario&Luigi games, the newer (better) Fire Emblem titles, Mother 3, and the DS has seen extensive third party support in the third person genre for games not even made by Square. Your entire post is false.
And I don't really have a favorite Square game because none of them have persuaded me to finish them. Except for the DS remake of FF4 (FF2 on US shores), which I enjoyed up until a change in the game's story that erased all the tragic events prior, just for allowing a happy ending for everyone. I refuse to ever replay that game.
I usually frequent the VG and collaboration Forums. If you find me anywhere else, I'm lost and can't find my way back.

FUCK! How could I forget this awesome title?! This is the most amazing RPG game ever made! At least if you like Mario games. In fact, all of the Mario RPG's are bloody amazing! Both SMRPG, Paper Mario series and Mario & Luigi series.
I didn't like the last entries of any of the Mario RPG series (Super Paper Mario and Bowsers Inside Story) But the other games in the series stands as my favorite RPG's of all-time.
but Grandia 2 is the best PRG which is not Mario lol

I think I've played a few others, but I'd remember them if they were any good, so it's Just Cause 2 for me aswell, which is also my favorite 360 game, so they did good there.

But they only started to suck since the merge. Hence why people say they sucked SINCE the merge with Enix, not because of it.

This is a pretty hard question. Considering that the Square-Enix brand pretty much started with Final Fantasy XI, I can't answer it correctly.
I thought Final Fantasy X was the "best" that Square had provided for the series. After the merger I hadn't really purchased any games from them outside of FullMetal Alchemist 2. Crimson Elixir wasn't bad, and I still haven't finished it yet, but I suppose it's a nice step away from the elements that are typically associated with the Final Fantasy franchise (transmutation (or whatever the shell its called) circles, FTMEW).
Final Fantasy IX. Runners up would be the Kingdom Hearts games and Just Cause 2.

That is all.
Dragon Quest. Enough said. The most popular game in Japan.
I still like Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven Riven!
Super Mario RPG and Final Fantasy 7/8. Both were great, unforgettable titles that I could still play and enjoy even as an adult.
Yea, I farm Anal Penguins. Do something about it.
Well, I'm on disk 3 of FF7 and I've got to say that it's probably one of the best games I've EVER played. The story is deep and when (spoiler alert) Aeris died I felt the story take a turn in the polar opposite direction.
Pretty much everything Square makes is great, like Super Mario RPG. That has to be the best RPG and/or Mario game I've ever played seeing as it took Mario to a level he has never reached before and is only matched by the Super Mario Galaxy series.
Kingdom Hearts is also one of Square's best running series next to Final Fantasy, but if it didn't have anything to do with Disney I probably wouldn't give to cents about it.
Final Fantasy VII
technically Square
Final Fantasy XII
100% serious
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance
Kingdom Hearts I & II
Plus mang more.
I'd love to go down on Square Enix if they were a person.

You may want a third person for that, really.

Kingdom Hearts franchise is the only thing I care for Square enix related.
Still need to play Birth by sleep. All the other nintendo DS titles seem like theyre just out for a quick buck. By that I mean there's nothing new added on to the series that I overall don't already know.

It's pretty good. The story takes place before KH1 and you get to play 3 different chapters that tie into each other at the end with a final chapter that wraps things up. If you beat the game on Hard you unlock a secret movie. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say any more but it's definitely a must play if you love the Kingdom Hearts series.
What?
FFXII it's way better than FFX.
Real time action, speed, characters, not waiting 1 hour of useless talking (FFX).
