I'm getting pretty tired of people defending Osama, claiming that it was wrong to kill him.
I think people don't realize the direct connection that he has had with countless terrorist actions across the globe, resulting in thousands, if not tens of thousands of deaths.
This is a man who believed that women should cover every inch of their body in a burka, this is a man who believed that the only way to communicate his ideas was though the spread of hatred and violence. This is a man who attempted to undermine, and surely would have undermined if he had the capacity, the fundamental ideals of freedom and democracy.
The very right you have to say what you're saying would be taken away by this man should he have had the chance.
It's a beautiful idealistic world you must live in, but unfortunately there are people with whom you cannot reason with, there are people who only respond to violence. And while violence is a regrettable option, sometimes it is a necessary one.
I'd like to believe that we could all hold hands and sing kum-bay-yah by the bonfire, but unfortunately that's just not going to happen, it's a very naive mentality.
So please, take a moment to think about the scale of his actions, all the grief and misery and pain that he's caused.
Every family who has suffered, every woman who was denied her rights under Sharia law, every poor child brainwashed into his sick mentality.

Jesus, you're misinterpreting the reasons why people are celebrating. I highly doubt anyone is celebrating because they think that Osama's death will signal the end of the war on terror. Everyone knows it's not going to bring back the people who were killed on 9/11 or any of the other terrorists attacks carried out by Al Queda. Nor will it bring back soldiers or civilians who have died in Afghanistan.
We celebrate because this man will no longer do evil. Al Queda will go on, but we will continue to hunt the enemies of peace wherever they may be.
We got our revenge on the man who has killed thousands around the world. We got justice for those who died. We set a goal and we achieved it.
