Humans are omnivores by nature- that means that we're supposed to eat whatever tastes good and doesn't poison us.

meat tastes good, and doesn't poison us so we are supposed to eat it, but then if you choose not to, that's fine- munch on some mushrooms for protein instead.

that said, I have nothing against vegetarians, pescatorians and vegans, just as long as they're not trying force their views down our throats- the next vegan to try that will find themselves tied up and being force-fed doner kebabs with melted cheese and a fried egg. y'know, to prove the point that I don't like adults criticizing other adults' lifestyle choices when to be honest it'd be much easier if we all just got off each others' backs about these things- I drink, I smoke, I eat meat- if you don't like it then tough, I'm an adult (in my country, anyway), if I make a choice to do something, then that's up to me and nobody else.

I'm not a vegan, but I can understand that if vegans find eating animals to be morally and ethically abhorrent, then they have a pretty good reason to try to force it on people. It isn't necessarily just a "lifestyle choice".

I don't eat a lot of meat. Actually, on a day-by-day basis, it is more likely I won't eat any meat in every single one of my meals than to eat meat in one or more of my meals. I take my lunch to school, and every day I pack a peanut-butter sandwich. Protein, check.

I am also aware of the cruelty that animals go through at processing plants. This doesn't bother me at all, actually. I prefer not to worry about things I can't change.

If I decided to jump to being a vegan, it wouldn't be a very big switch. But, it would be very impractical. Meat tastes good, and I don't want to give it up permanently, and, it would be a big pain to everyone around me to always have to think about my special diet.

Moderation is wiser than abstinence.
