On the rankings page on NG, there should be a place too see forum posts and Portal reviews. What do you think?

Do you mean rank them according to the one with the highest? That would spawn a lot of crappy spam threads and posts just to increase their ranking ._. Quality > Quantity

There's always the level up lounge and top 100 review lists. as for a list of top posters, not so good since that would encourage users to spam despite the list saying "don't spam".

The Frontpage is busy enough as it is - no need for silly feeds of BBS posts and reviews.

It also means that offensive posts from less-frequented areas of the site could be on prominent display on the frontpage.

27 december 2007 was the last time a top posters list was made (by absent). If you're interested, here it is.

The reason why there isn't an up to date top posters list is mostly because we fear that people will make many crappy one liners posts only to get higher up in the rankings. You can see that happening on the reviewers lists from time to time, but at least it's still controlable there. Deleting a users reviews doesn't have as big of an impact as deleting a users posts.
