Does anyone know what I should make a flash about? I was thinking madness but what should the story be about?

Listen to some music. whenever I'm looking for inspiration for an animation, I listen to my favorite music. since music has a way of story telling and rhythm just like animation, they always seem to go together great. I listen to some cool songs on i tunes or Pandora, and just close my eyes and try to envision an animation for each new song tat plays. eventually i get an idea and a song that go together so well that it gets stuck in my head I have to animated it. that's what I suggest.

To get inspiration:
-Listen to music
-Watch movies & shows
-Go have some fun, relax, ideas come with time or with some funny situations!

And if nothing of these helps, ask another animator or writer.

Don't make a madness animation. Make something with your own thought, creativity and ideas.

Also, it's a not really good thing to rely on others for ideas. It won't help you be creative and it limits your freedom of doing what you want.
