It feels sometimes we set the bar too low that we could laugh at the most unfunniest things and sometimes some jokes can be subtle but if you have the right intelegence you get a good laugh out of it.
So, What would you define as Good Comedy and Bad Comedy?
For me if it makes me laugh and sometimes think then I think it works.

Much like Lewis Black, I find these two to be funny in moderation. I mean they definitely have their styles and work them well, but screaming your point is only amusing for awhile and in certain context. In any case, to answer the original question of what makes comedy funny... Well, I don't know. It's a curious thought, because there's a lot of stupid humor that I regard as just that, stupid. But then again I also laugh at a lot of crude and tasteless humor, and it's hard to judge why one thing is funnier than another sometimes.

I love how you ask two completely different questions in the title and the thread itself
"To know what a paradox is, you musn't understand this sentence"
Well, it's definitely not Dane Cook or Jeff Dunham or the Blue Collar Boys. Comedy Central sucks now. :/
George Carline, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, Sam Kinison... There's a lot of good stuff out there.
Hmm, I find this hard to spot.
I watched the Dragonball Z abridged series and couldn't help but laugh out loud on plenty of occasions. But I fail to laugh at Ahmed the dead terrorist. I like a few dickjokes and innuendo filled humour, I don't like fart shit jokes. Some randomness is awesome (like Bobobo) but it doesn't always work.
Parodies can be quite comic. But a parody shouldn't be an excuse to insult the original.
I like jokes that take a while to sink in, but I can laufgh at unsubtleties too.

Satire is my favorite type of humor. George Carlin being one of my favorite comedians for this reason. I also love the hint of hatred and anger behind the jokes, Lewis Black does this greatly.
The guy below me is gay
Good Comedy is about timing. Delivery makes or breaks a lot of comedy, which is why there are some comedians with good material but bad timing (i.e. Dane Cook, it's fairly good, but his timing is horrible) while others have terrible material but excellent timing (Jeff Dunham). That being said, another part of good humor is knowing your audience. What makes humor funny is know that the audience has some idea what's coming next. In this sense, much of comedy is predictable, but it's still funny because the comedians take it to extreme measures.

Unlike Lewis Black, Sam Kinison didn't drown his act in self righteous political views.
I like comedy that tells a story the best. To this day Bill Cosby As Himself is one of my all time favorite comedy shows because of how pure and hilarious his delivery was. His stories were so relatable and
his delivery was great. For that same reason I enjoy acts like Chris Rock and Louis C.K.
If it makes me laugh, it's good comedy.
Well if it makes me laugh then I'm good. However a joke does have to be properly set-up. For some comedy can be taught, for others it's a natural gift.
Something first-made and not copied from something else.
The joke's gotta be earned. Dirty words will make everyone laugh a little bit, but great comedy comes from jokes that are well structured, perhaps using dirty words to keep interest along the way, leading up to a big comedic pay off.
This is why modern Adam Sandler movies, random dubs in which people say random curse words, and family guy no longer appeal to me!
I did like Your highness however, hehe I'm a bit of a hypocrite
Mushroomn. 6 years later it's kind of a dumbass name. Sorry about that
I find a bunch of random stuff funny. If it's not forced and just naturally comes up i'll find it funnier. That's a horrible way of describing what I find funny but I can't think of any other way.
George Carlin = good comedy. Nuff said.
Timing, delivery, content, how engaging it is, how thought provoking it is, etc.
The stuff I laugh at is just stupid shit that nobody else would understand, not things that make fun of the world.
Only offensive jokes are funny, and I don't mean that lame racist shit... I mean shit about killing and other things I won't post about for my own safety.
Yeah, whatever.

Good comedy = A long built up story or anecdote with a lots of different punchlines humourus scenerios and unusual people. Eddie Izzard, Ross Noble .etc.
Bad comedy = Violent, arrogant purile comedy.
If i can hear/watch the same joke a million times and its still FUNNY then its comedy GOLD.
Does this answer your question?
This is my humor, thehehe...

That sounds like you like British/european style humor and hate American style humor.
There actually is a pretty big difference, and it's totally cultural.
