That cat isn't your friend by choice. He is a slave trapped in your home. It isn't like the cat decided it liked you enough to live the rest of its life with you. You kidnapped and forced it to live with you.

Actually the cat was a stray. I fed it, and he decided that he liked me enough to be my best friend. His brother doesn't like me.

But anyways, they are indoor/outdoor cats, and they are allowed out any time they want.
