I thought it was interesting although it's also debunked. But still, I wonder how many people fell for that?

I thought that movie was awesome when i was a kid. I rewatched it and realized how creepy it was, same thing with alice in wonderland.

Yeah this is quite a common story among Japanese people - especially younger generations. I wouldn't believe in it though, with the right mind you can link any two things together in innumerable ways.

You can say that again, especially in sports where some people would find some coincidence and use it to connect to why a certain team went on a title drought.

Indeed.
Many of the anime films he made tends to be weird, but in the end it's one of those things that you can enjoy even as an adult.

I never saw this SpeedRacer cartoon or whatever, but people do this crap with cartoons and Kubric movies all the time.
My favorite fan theory is that James Bond isn't a single man but a codename given to a succession of different agents. Which would explain why he changes from actor to actor over the decades.

This intrigues me. You see I never really knew wtf people said in totoro. My friend sat me down one day and simply said, "you need to watch this I used to like it as a kid, japanese or english?" I said japanese, and it had no subtitles. So basically I watched most of the movie, and it was all gibberish to me all I had was vocal tone and the character animation.
Totoro was cool but it all seemed so wierd of course, and those quiet moments in the movie really spoke so much that it was really hard to follow plot wise.
Idk enough about Totoro to really be able to have a side on this issue.

Would probably make more sense had I seen the movie, but it's interesting anyway.

Never seen the film, but that theory looks interesting, even being debunked and all.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.
