Sure, it could have been like the usual; myself saying, "Nothing." and moving on, but I felt so bored that maybe I should've shared my thoughts. Of course, my thoughts were about something that had happened.
I was left thinking about it whenever I was bored and left to myself, which is quite often. When I explained it to the other person, I had insight that everything I thought of was, or most of it, wrong. With no one else to comment or shed light on the other parts of said "problem" I was left to my own devices and had come up with conclusions, which were incorrect, by myself.
They were mostly based on what I felt and the limited knowledge which I possess. I can't be expected to know everything about it. (Side note : This unnamed "problem" is all encompassing which means it can apply to a variety of different things.) It was essentially, "This is how it is because of X. So therefore Y is true and I should do Z."
But that's not it. You, I, nor can anyone else for that matter, can accuarately predict the behaviour etc. of other humans simply by ourselves. It would take more than just yourself to be able to figure anything out of the sort. And even if it woudn't, it sure would put things in perspective.
Say you're just sitting there, alone, thinking to yourself. You come up with many different reasons as to why X has just happened and why it is good/bad. You come up with, "It is because of this". Then, when someone else comes and gives their two cents, you see it in a different light. A light that is not, for the most part, biased on what they know or don't know. How they feel or don't feel. Therefore, you can be expected to have some new input into said situation which should help you out, in whatever small or large way possible.
That's only part of the reason why I think third-parties are essential in everyday life. Another reason would have to be the neutrality. Well, when they are neutral. No matter what is happening, when you bring a third person into the mix, it throws things out of balance. Now, that does not sound like a good thing, but it is. It throws the bad things out of balance. Or, in this case, mediating something between the two main-parties.
They can give you insight, a different view, or even mediate out something that is currently happening. Is there anything that they cannot do? Well, of course there is. Everything has limitations. For one, they're people. The importance, from the third-person, comes when they are almost entirely neutral to what is happening. If they should sway to one side or the other, then they will no longer be that essential cog in the system. They will become morphed into one side, effectifely cancelling out their effectiveness.
But what about when they, themselves, are still a third-person? What if they are still neutral? Then where can their limitation come full-circle? That, I cannot say. I have no Earthly idea. I would like to know, and I am pretty sure there is one, but I do not know. And there's one of my own limitations if I do say so myself.
Returning back to the beggining, I realised that I needed the extra input to be able to solve my "problem". To be rid of it; to throw it away. Withought that, I would have never known where I would be now. You see, left to my own devices, I would make mistakes. Errors in my "calculations". Say I plan ahead. I cannot possibly plan anything for us, people, are dynamic and constantly making changes and actions that others cannot predict.
Then what happens? A fluke; I essentially made the problem, in most cases, worse than it has to be at that point then if I had simply done nothing. More insight can mean a better chance at not making a mistake. A better chance at fixing it all together.
What if you want to go through with it, whatever "it" may be. The other opinion would convince you not to do that, and then that, in this case, would be the right move. I say it yet again, third-party opinions are important. I cannot stress that enough, and yet here I am. Alone, again, with my own thoughts. No one else, but wait. Yes, I will be. (Is this recursing?) I will have found that third-person yet again. Where?
Aren't I sharing a problem or feeling right now? When I post this, will I not have gotton the opinions and information for more than just myself? Of course I will have. I will better understand why third-parties are important, or even not important by the efforts of what you have to say. Therefore, I will be better off for it. To seek more people's imput or not to seek it, that's where I'll be.
Tldr; join the rent is too damn high party today!

Bouncing ideas and opinions off of other people and listening to theirs is one of the most effective ways of discovering the best possible truth and/or solution to a given predicament.

You summed that up quite nicely.

I'm liking this post because it can easily and clearly summarize everything that I've posted, in this topic, in a few, short words. Really, it's all right!
