Hello everyone! I am new to photoshop and I really hope to get good reviews and advices about my art from you guys. However pleasetry to keep your comments constructive since I am only a beginner.
Well first off I will start this art thread with a robo pirate eating a lolipop:

And the counter rises... again. Except this one actually was creepy.

Personally, I choose now where my lightning will drop and start working from there on. Use smaller brushes and go for some details now. The 'background' needs to go though. Those thick obvious, brush lines don't look good.

I understand that you want to show your progress, but theres kind of a minimum work requirement...

it could do with a few more details rather than another lightsource, the stalks on its head would be a nice touch, as would some ripples on its tail fin, making his stubby fingers a bit longer, and adding a bit of texture and a small splash of colour to it

I'd hardly call that progress but okay.

you need to add more shading (to like... ALL of the pieces I've seen so far) it all looks so boring and flat because you have high-lights but No shading (so you do have SOME) but it's very minimal and could use ALOT more darkening, and blending.
