I think they must've only recently added a bunch of voice-acting related categories (at least I don't remember all these ever being there), which would explain the lack of submissions.

Yes, obviously. I wanted to point out the fact.

At the risk of sounding like a whiny, ungrateful asshole, since they're adding new genres/subcategories, can we have Reggae now? :D

Holy shit, we have an a capella genre now? This is an excellent idea! What would top things off is a collaboration page to allow for organized collaborations between artists.

is he seriously asking for MORE?

Yes. He is.

I'm totally cool with throwing down some a-capellas. Preferably sung.

There really should be subgenres for classical. It's a huge section and could easily be broken into Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern/Contemporary, and Theatrical. It'd really facilitate searches.

Agreed. "Classical" is too vague. For example, MaestroRage is FAR from a classical composer, though he is an excellent Cinematic Composer. I was always unsure why Orchestras where confined to "Classical" here on NG. :/

Personally, I like the way they do it over at TheAudioPortal.com. When you submit your audio, you have a choice of a main genre, then a second choice of a subgenre within the main genre. I think it would be a pretty cool feature to implement here.

And now, something on-topic, before this becomes another improvement ideas thread: I think it's great that the voice acting genre is being split up. Makes it a lot easier to find what I'm looking for. May have to browse it for voice acting skits to include in a beat now. Thanks NG!

I appreciate the new genres and all, but you know, I wouldn't mind an Orchestral genre...

...no really, I wouldn't.

Who controls adding the new Genre's to the dropdown on the Audio Portal page? They're listed everywhere but there.

A tribute to the Ace Attorney Series and OST. I have so much respect for both of those, that I decided to start my own Remix series.
