My best friend in the entire world killed himself last night. A week or so ago, he admitted to being gay. His parents tried to help him by sending him to a camp that is supposed to make homosexuals turn straight. He said that he couldn't fight the urges and after a short battle with homosexuality, he eventually hung himself.
I know that what he was doing was a sin, but I tried to cure him. I just hope that he repented and prayed to God before he left our world. I know his outlook is grim, but no matter what, he was my friend at some point.
Personally, I don't care about gay kids and I even like some of them., But it would be beneficial for less gays in American society. Anyone remember Roman times? No, cause they died of gays.

Okay, theres nothing wrong with gay people. Homosexuals arent diseased, and they dont need to be cured, and it's ignorant religious people like you, who try telling them there's something wrong with them, and that they need to be "cured" that drive young homosexuals to suicide in the first place.

It's a sad state of affairs for the world when camps exist to try to convert gays when homosexuality cannot be altered. It's an even sadder state of affairs when a kid's parents try to change him because he's gay. If what the OP says is true, I hope the parents live with their guilt until their final moments of life.
