I use ellipses too much.
They are just obnoxious future (or already) chavs
I was walking down the street one or two weekends back when some little kid decided to randomly shout "baldie!" at me. Now, ignoring my hulking stature and skinhead apparel, where did he muster the balls to do that? I must have been around 10 years older than him, possibly a little less, but when I was his age I would NEVER have tried to insult someone older than me. Especially not someone that much older than me.

I hate children so much, especially middle school kids. Middle school kids are awful. I'm going to train my child to murder other children
Mushroomn. 6 years later it's kind of a dumbass name. Sorry about that
People in my sisters grade (5th) are giving the middle fingers already, and one boy told her "My dick just exploded", and I'm like LOL U FIF GRADER RASCALLIAN
Haha that reminds me of this one time when these Juggalo little fucks yelled at us when we were driving by. My friend slammed on the brakes and we all got out. They all ran away
All the cool kids have signature text
I know what you mean. Just the other day I was walking down the street and some little kid had the audacity to ask me for the time. I said "Can't you see I'm not wearing a fucking watch?!" So then I spit in his face and walked away.

Parents are now trying to treat their children as equals at very young ages. For some reason they think it's wrong to physically punish your child, even if he/she's throwing a tantrum.
Of course kids have always been trying to act like a 'big boy/girl', but the parents aren't keeping their kids in check, which is leading to five year olds who know more bad words than you know and use them more often than common greetings.

ROFL so have I.I mean, at that age the "baddest words I knew were "penis" and "pipi".Heck, I even heard an 8 year old call another kid a "nut gobbler".I blame that one on South Park :P
Probably because most parent's think that when there 6+ year old kids are saying "shit" and "fuck" is funny and as they age they think everyone's gonna just laugh when they walk up to you and call somone they don't know a dickhead.
A lot of them know your not going to ram a chainsaw down their throat, so they try to look like a badass in front of their friends, and if you do ram the chainsaw, well then good for you.
I don't hate anybody. even if you occasionally piss me off.

I find middle schoolers around 12 - 15 to be the most comical when they "act big" and curse all the time.

Corporeal punishment has been linked to emotional issues, such as those associated with perceived rejection. "However, Kittitian children also tend to experience themselves to be rejected in direct proportion to the frequency and severity of punishment received. [...] The direct impact of physical punishment on youths' psychological adjustment in conjunction with the indirect effect, as mediated through perceived caretaker rejection, is substantial."
Besides, the only benefit of corporeal punishment is immediate obedience, as opposed to long-term learning. There are better, less destructive and more effective methods of disciplining a child, even a child that is throwing a tantrum.

Shit, how many grades did they fail?
Also you should discretly kick or punch the kid. Or better yet use explosions, explosions solve everything.
Putting back fun in funeral.

There may be other methods, but if only these parents knew of them. It seems to me that these parents only know of two other ways to calm a rowdy child. Bribing them with sweets and toys or making hollow threats. And we all know how effective that is.

I mean on the other hand the new methods of raising kids haven't really been researched thoroughly yet. Almost all the adults I know were raised under such a method and they ended up fine. There's a different between corporeal punishment and abusive parents however

If only. But, that's no reason to endorse methodologies that have the potential for evoking consequences that are just as damaging. We shouldn't be advocating for one equally as unfavorable method over another. We should be advocating for the methods that work without risking damaging the child's emotional health.

Keep in mind that "fine" is relative. And, if studies following children as they grow up show that these people have been negatively impacted, then clearly there are adults who, just like these children, are worse off because of it. As far as I'm concerned, if research shows that corporeal punishment is being linked to emotional issues, then as a parent, I wouldn't take that risk, especially since corporeal punishment isn't even the most effective means of discipline.
Now, clearly the effects get more severe as the punishments get more severe and clearly there is a difference between physical discipline and abuse, but this isn't a category matter. It's a gradient where the more you use corporeal punishment, the greater the effects, as seen in the study.
