Yeah, it has 'falling out of plane shootouts'. I'm really starting to sway towards this game now, mainly for the amazing piss around value.

Wow, some people in this topic who have really missed the point of Saints Row: The Third. Don't bash it for being unrealistic - its MEANT to be over the top, completely impossible fun. Thats what makes Saints Row so great and fun. This is the main story of SR:TT since no-one else has mentioned it:

The Saints are now a massive gang now, very famous and they're bored one day and decide to rob a bank. The robbery fails after Josh Birk (an actor who is accompanying the Saints to prepare for his movie role in a Saints movie) accidentally triggers an alarm. SWAT teams come and arrest you. Phillipe Loren and his secretaries Viola and Kika DeWynter rescue you from the jail in his plane, and it turns out that Phillipe is the leader of the Syndicate - a trio of gangs (the Morning Star, led by Philippe; The Deckers, led by Matt Miller and The Luchadores, led by Killbane) who are all connected and pretty much rule Steelport.

So then this mission happens. Basically Phillipe offer to either kill the Saints or force the Saints to become part of the Syndicate. The Saints aren't having this because they're the fucking Saints, they're not bowing down to those motherfuckers, so they jump out of the plane and fight Morning Star members on the way down to Steelport.

Eventually the Saints move from Stilwater to Steelport, and will take down the gangs and a group which is like Ultor but twice as brutal - STAG. They have hoverbikes and VTOLs which shoot lasers and missiles. But yeah, you're the leader of the Saints - you can take them all on, with dildo bats, apoca-fists and a shit ton of other weapons and vehicles, which are all customisable. Plus possibly the best character customisation in any game, ever.

So yeah. Best game ever?

I honestly CANNOT wait for SR3. I think it's gonna be fun to play, and from what I've seen from trailers and such, it looks to have it all(From what I can see.)

Dude Saint's Row 3 sounds like a really sick game, I want it badly.

I like how in this game it's kinda like GTA, except you can customize your character and take out different games, and the story seems a bit more in-depth and interesting. I think when you kill the CEO of Ultor, that is probably one of my favorite scenes, it was in Saint's Row 2.

Saints row series put GTA games to shame, I'm more of a fun player then story so as long as SRTT will have weapons of mass destruction like that laser pointer gun which summons an airstrike (seen it on a trailer) the ability to cause mayhem and a lot of exploration it will be awesome, I wonder what more weapons and vehicles it's gonna have, the STAG stuff is scifi and I like that, I like scifi.

I just hope they won't cut alot of shit in the final game.

cant wait man, ive been watching previews and stuff for it for aaaages, i stayed up till 3 in the morning to watch the announcement on E3.
ive got it pre-ordered and it comes with a sweet set of headphones and a CD + professor genki pack.

This game seems pretty interesting although I bought Saints Row 2 and was pretty dissapointed with not only the unrealism but the limited features. Hopefully this one is a turning point.

It's because it's like you can do impossible stuff in Saints Row, it's a sandbox for creative people. Like the whole airstrike thing, it's fucking awesome.

Thanks to THQ and GAME I can't even purchase the game on Steam. For those not from the UK, the story goes that GAME pressured THQ with threats not to stock the console versions of their games in their stores.. This isn't the first time this has happened either, Homefront wasn't available until two months after its release, Brink wasn't available for UK users on its release, Space Marine still isn't available and you couldn't even pre-order Skyrim for a whole month.

The funny thing here is, a lot of their stores don't stock PC games, just ask anyone who has been there in the past year or two, you'll be asked to look somewhere else. Wankers. And you wonder why people have no problem with pirating when we have to dodge and jump over barriers like this.

Saints Row 3 is a Steamworks title anyway, so no matter if I get the game gifted, or I purchase it from a different online retailer, I'm still going to be using the Steam platform.

Anyone got it yet? I have to wait til at least Friday which is agonising haha.

Got Saints Row: The Third earlier today. It is amazing beyond description.

just picked it today, and indeed it is amazing! i know what i am doing with my Thanksgiving holiday off.

I got it on Tuesday.

I have 100% control over Steelport and I'm rank 50. All I really need to do is the collectibles, assassinations, car jackings, and challenges.
