You seem to assume that anything popular must be made by people without talent. Listen to Lady Gaga sing live, she can sing. Her music just caters to a different audience than us. For that reason it needs to be simple, and repetitive.

I'm so and so about her. She has some catchy songs, but she is "over hyped". Also the whole "fashion" thing that she does, although I don't see how the fuck what she does is considered fashionable, is just a gimmick and unneeded. A good singer doesn't need to bring attention to themselves other then through their singing, publicity stunts are for the untalented.

And she is only attractive here and there, there are sometimes you look at her and wonder and other times your repulsed.

No one on this forum has the right to even say what is good or bad music. Look she's okay theres no denying that or she wouldn't be famous, do I like her music? Hell No. But I hate it when you guys get all high and mighty as if you know what is music please. A bunch of fucked-up, drugged out emos screaming into the mic as if they're very own nuts have just been ripped off they're crouch do not have anywhere near the level of popularity this girl does.

I hate your music, personally. No music is "bad/awful" in the general,factual sense, they're all just opinions. But when the public opinion is taken into account, it becomes something in the middle of fact/opinion. So as a semi-fact, Most kids despise your music and like hers.

Btw I used to think she was pretty good, then she went from that pop music artist with wierd/funky clothes to that pop/horror movie score artist who hung herself at the MTV Music Awards.. Seriously, I think she found some new drug(most likely coke) in the middle of her popularity and now her voice sounds like a herm with a throat thats been abused from over-use of cigarettes and tobacco.

Bottom line, 10-15 year old girls are the most uniform market out there, hence the reason why we have all these shitty and untalented artists who are worshipped like Gods. The only formula you need is to be over-the-top and new. She had talent and still does, only know i think her music is disturbing.

I don't really like her music, but that really is just me. I've heard a lot worse, some truly terrible songs - and I don't like those either. But in the end, it really is about taste. I think with the fact that the rest of my entire family gets off to it is kind of a turn-off to ever liking it.

But like I said - that's just me. I don't blame anyone else for liking it.

Yeah, but teenagers are showing that they can't distinguish between opinion and fact. They also seem to have a hard time understanding art is subjective, and that some people just don't like what they like.
