4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsOK Photoshop wizard i come as a student of DMAC asking for help on a little thing. its a project i am working on and no im not asking for ways to cheat. but i have never used photoshop before and i need to texture a Uv map on it. i am asking ways to do such a thing and how to use layers in photoshop. i am going to google searching for some help but not much has actually helped me.
bottom line- how do i add a layer then add a picture in that layer. if not then something of the sort. please help a fellow human.

Drag the file (tif, etc) into Photoshop's gray space.. That's about it. Then click the layer button next to the trash can in the Layers Tab (which should be highlighted blue) to add a layer. You'll probably want the new layer below your maya UV grid, which the UV grid should be set to Multiply (default =Normal)
You'll probably want to turn the eye off (visibility) when you export it to test on the model.
