Well, it's happened now and even though they made a bit of a boob, you'd have still lost game 3.

I think it's an eye for an eye and they should consider extending the ban, if Horton isn't ready come the new season.
What a policy that would be, eh?

Now here's the tricky part for them, let's see them pull off a similar performance in Game 4 before we fall off the Vancouver bandwagon. At 6/6/11 11:03 PM, Canas wrote: For all you sour Vancouver fans don't get to down on the result. The bigger the blowout the bigger the blow-up by the coaching staff. The team will get reeeeemed the fuck out between now and Wednesday and be back in top shape by Game 4. It's almost better you got shafted so badlyI agree - it's going to be a tough one to swallow for the team, but they can take positives out of the game. For instance, being blow out 8-1 is much better than being shut out 2-0. You know that Tim Thomas can be beaten and at the first faceoff on Wednesday, you're going in at 0-0
I'm looking forward to Game 4 - it's going to be hot out there on the ice, as tempers flare.
Sure, game 4 will be a big test of character for Luongo, but it will also be a test for the offensive capability of Vancouver. Put some goals up there and give Roberto a lead to defend.Luongo better not let me down, because I put a lot of stock in him to bounce back. Having a big lead as well pays dividends into winning the cup for the Canucks, but the Sedin twins and Kesler are more or less been neutralized by the Boston defense for some reason.
He's capable of this, as he has a gold medal around his neck. Where did he win that? Oh yeah, Vancouver. Home is where the heart is.
Thomas hasn't suffered a blowout loss this series yet. Maybe they are saving that for game 4 or 5?I don't know about that, but Thomas has a habit of giving up a lot of easy goals before. Remember what happened with Tampa Bay? It's a matter of when and not if Tim Thomas gets the bum's rush from Vancouver.
Personally, I think that after his performance in the All Star Game, where he called the Play-by-Play while keeping, he should consider the booth when his career's done.
As for game 4, we'll just have to wait and see.
And why is everyone leaping up and down saying that Vancouver has lost the cup? They're still winning the series and nobody's perfect. The more hockey we get to see, the more we win as neutral fans.Vancouver is the best team throughout the regular season, and only Detroit and Philadelphia even stood close to them in terms of offense/defense/points scored. But they seem to have the Miami Heat complex where they take a game or 2 off for some bullshit reason, and that could bite them in the ass like they did with Chicago.
The series isn't over - 3-0 to Vancouver and you'd have said that it was. However, we have a very close matchup now and Boston could be looking to split the first 4 games, making it a shootout over 3 games, with a little momentum to help them out.
With that said, I wouldn't get your hopes up for a long series. Vancouver wins the Stanley Cup in 5.
Nah - 6 or 7 games, plus a winner to still be determined.

I'd really love to see another Boston win tonight to make this series a best of 3 scenario. Though if the Canucks somehow manage to take this one, I don't see much hope for the Bruins. I don't expect another 8-1 drubbing like the other night, but I do expect another Bruins win. This one goes back to Vancouver 2-2.

Aaaaand there's a goal to Boston. Vancouver's defense collapsed, Luongo got five-holed. Beautiful. 1-0 Bruins.

I really hope Vancouver doesn't choke. Boston has only lost one home game so far and that was early in the playoffs against Montreal.

So through one period, I don't see anything different from game 3: Boston's still dominating, Vancouver's still playing like shit both 5v5 and on the power play, and Tim Thomas is (still, of course) a fucking wall.

Canucks are chokers, thats what the C stands for in Canucks. Bruins will win this series now against these choke-artists. Nice decision by the Coach to play Luongo at net when he had a horrible game and the coach knows the backup should have been in the net tonight.

Anyone else shut this game off like I did on game 3 and now game 4? It's just so boring because its just a one-sided beatdown by Boston.

At least Schneider is stopping pucks! I no longer have to cringe every time Boston gets a semi decent chance! How exciting!

If your a Boston Bruin fan, your watching this till the end, everyone else has changed the channel.
Dear Canucks, {and specifically to Luongo.}
You are in the Stanley Cup Finals, and you had a 2 game advantage over Boston. Now's the time to wake up and play some goddamn hockey, and try not to get your players suspended again. And for Roberto Luongo, I expected you to show up in Game 4, and now you made me look like an ass. I don't know what's your problem, but you've gone too far now to start sucking, get your shit together in Game 5.
With much respect {lost}, Orangebomb.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Stop posting here. "Trolling" doesn't justify your stay, either.
So did Luongo get taken out? I didn't get to see the game cause my power went out, but god damn I hope Luongo got taken out at some point.
Friday's game will be interesting because we're back in Vancouver so we'll see how much this has to do with "home game advantage"... probably more to do with Vancouver playing like shit.

The city of Vancouver should mandate that all it's residents know the heimlich maneuver, because their hockey team damn needs it right now.
series tied 2-2 after a convincing 4-0 Bruins victory.

One shutout each. Two games each. Momentum firmly with Boston. Home ice for Vancouver.
Man, we've got ourselves a series.

HOCKEY MOMENTUM!
But yeah, if the momentum continues as-is, I predict that Boston will win the next game with a score of 0 - (-1)

Man, we've got ourselves a series.
A series that is starting to make me hate life.
But nonetheless, I've been saying before the series started it's gonna be:
Van, Van, Bos, Bos, Van, Van.
So, so far, I'm right.
I just really hope this doesn't go into game 7.
It'd also be pretty sweet if we won game 4 on home ice, get to see the cup presented in Vancouver!
just roll with it nerd

Just gotta take one off the home team tomorrow night. Even when the Canucks were winning, we've been keeping their offense in check nicely with solid defense and top-notch goaltending. I just don't think the twins are up to task in the series. Out of this whole series, I think the play I'll treasure most is Thomas levelling Sedin when he tried to glove the puck into a good scoring position.
Seriously. That was freakin' great. Go Bruins!

That swipe at Burrows was pretty hardcore too, but even I had to appreciate that hit. I liked how they did a little stat bar on Timmy a few minutes later, just so they could display "Hits: 1," heheh.

Well, game five is set to drop in about half an hour. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Vancouver decides to start Schneider in goal; as Zerok said, Canucks fans didn't have to hold their breath each time Boston rifled a shot at him after he came in, unlike with Luongo. 12 goals in less than 2 games, that's horrendous, Roberto.
If I had to pick a winner tonight, I'd say Vancouver if they play Schneider. If not, then Boston's going back home up 3-2.

Schneider may have an unfathomable amount of pressure on him in a few minutes.
