BTW, except for Vancouver-Nashville, this is the lamest round 2 ever.

Nick Lidstrom ties the game at 1-1 for the Wings, couldn't have come at a much better time in the first period.
I gotta hand it to the Lightning. Steve Yzerman is doing a fine job and they have Washington up against the wall. What is there not to like about this team?

This. After the first round we had, I was expecting much better series than we have now, besides Canucks-Predators. I in no way expected the Bruins, Sharks, and Lightning to be this dominant (though I guess I saw the Sharks' beat down coming).
Also, we'll more than likely set a record this year for most playoff games going into overtime.

Boston's slaughter of Philly continues with the Bruhnz up 5-1, Detroit goes up 2-1 in the 2nd over San Jose, and Tampa up 4-2 over Washington.
I want my goddamn cable back...

San Jose ties it, then Pavel Datsyuk with a nice goal from Zetterberg to put the Wings up 3-2.
Reffing is a bit of a joke tonight.

Tampa up 5-2 now, I don't think Washington is trying anymore.

Tampa bay Lightning... Sweep the Washington Capitals with a 5-3 win in game 4? Do my eyes deceive me?

Well shit. It's 2010 all over again. We're not Philadelphia, my season is over Friday.
At least the Bolts are still in it. Let's see how they do.

Setoguchi with the hat trick. Sharks take game 3 4-3 in overtime. Fuck yeah, San Jose.
Bring your brooms to Detroit on Friday, Sharks fans.

I just had to lol at the lack of effort on Washington's part in this series, I guess Boudrou is going to get his pink slip for another playoff collapse. Seriously, with all of the talent they have on the ice, it's amazing how they can't seem to, {at the very least} get to the conference finals every year, if not win the Stanley Cup in general.
And speaking of collapses, it's offical, Our goaltending sucks ass, especially if Boucher gives up 2 easy goals in only a minute of playing Game 3. While yes, we did come back from an 0-3 defecit last year, I can't see them coming back this year, not when Pronger is out, and our goaltending is shit.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Quite a few guys on Vancouver are acting stupid out there. Trying to force Nashville to take penalties (again), and while doing that getting penalties themselves. They were just playing 3 on 5 and they're only up 2 - 1. Morons...

So I've been at a wind symphony concert but thank god for smartphones. Currently still 2-1 Vancouver at the start of the third period.
COME ON PREDS, DO ME PROUD

The game gets tied up 2 - 2, then Kessler scores an awesome goal for Vancouver putting them up 3 - 2. A few seconds left in the game and Henrik Sedin gets his first goal of the playoffs (lol, Captain) on an open net.
Vancouver wins 4 - 2.

We've got two games currently underway tonight, both elimination games.
San Jose and Detroit are currently a little more than halfway through the second period, with the Red Wings up 3-1.
Philadelphia and Boston are about halfway through the first period, still scoreless.
If the Flyers and/or Red Wings lose tonight, they will be swept out of the playoffs.
come on Sharks, knock the Red Wings out on their own ice

And as par for the course, right after I post scores, we gut a flurry of goals. It's now 3-2 Detroit, and the Bruins are now up 1-0.
really, that needs to stop happening.

Much too late.
As already stated, Red Wings take game 4 4-3. It's currently the third period between the Bruins and Flyers, with Boston leading 2-1 with about 5 minutes left.
Flyers, you better put it outta your ass.

Should be a fantastic series. Both these teams are on fire. The B's look as confident as ever, I don't know if the Lightning will be able to compete with that kind of depth.

Wow this round is shocking yet dissapointing at the same time. I was expecting the Lightning-Caps series to be the most thrilling series of the 2nd Round if not the playoffs altogether. Anyways the Vancouver Nashville series is awesome they keep it fairly clean especially with their nasty encounters with Anaheim and Chicago. Whichever team wins of those two I don't mind they've both played hard and done a great job.
Martin St. Louis, Vincent Lacavalier, Steven Stamkos, all these fancy neat tricks skaters will possibly dominate Boston. Also Roloson can last a long time for his age. Tampa Bay has so many of these tricksters that I'm pretty sure someone from Tampa Bay will win the Lady Byng Award. The only people from Washington I think could've snuck past Roloson more is Johanson not even Ovetchkin could get passed him, he's to greedy.
The Sharks-Red Wings series is starting to get interesting it used to be watching San Jose dominate Detroit but that last game was great Niemi and Howard had a ton to look out for. Also the coaches said they might consider using Os'good for the 3rd Period which isn't a bad idea because Joe Thornton, Dan Boyle and those guys haven't got him figured out yet. There starting to catch onto Howard.
The Bruins-Flyers series was pretty lame. Boucher is clearly not better than Philadelphia's former goalie Leighton who was so amazing he got them to the finals last year. I mean seriously just because Patrick Kane got past him once last year they put him down to their 3rd string goalie. Philadelphia makes bad choices like that. I don't really like Boston either but I'm glad they beat the Flyers. I'm begging Tampa will sort them out.

I was going to say that it's probably been the most boring series of the entire playoffs

Good to see the Bruins are doing well. I hope they win it all for my Grandpa and uncle's sake... I'd much rather play hockey than watch it.
Hats off to Tim Thomas though.

Not for me. There haven't been many goals, but it's because Rinne and Luongo are both playing incredibly. Some of Pekka Rinne's saves are insane. I also might be a bit more interested in the series because Vancouver is my favourite team, but whatever.
2 - 1 Vancouver. They could take the series tonight.

There's a dude at this astronomy club meeting I'm at wearing a Luongo jersey. I live in Chicago. How is this person not being beaten bloody right now?
Also, 2-2 with 5 minutes left in the second period.
