Best way to forget them is as soon as you realise, close your eyes, rest your forehead on your arms and your elbows on the desk. Concentrate fully on looking at your closed eyelids and push the skin on your forehead together without using your arms as hard as you can while thinking about nothing but all of this and the darkness you can see. If you do this as fast as you can you should be concentrating too much on nothing for it to enter your longer term memory.
Its worked for me several times before, and the first time I did it took me 2 years to remember I had been spoiled, at which point it hadnt mattered for ages. Speed is the key to dong this right, do it the isntant you have realised.
