Flash CS5 stage size problems 2011-04-03 15:24:53 Reply

When I test the movie (600x400) in flash CS5, it works fine, but when I click on the SWF in my desktop, it adds like 10 pixels onto the top and bottom of the swf for some reason. How can I go about fixing this? It's really annoying.

Just resize the window of your Flash player.

I realize that, but why is it doing it? It even does it when I view it in the browser, like on the newgrounds upload, and I don't want it to!

I don't have CS5, but my guess would be something in the publish settings.

When i go to the flash settings and un-check "include hidden layers" the border is gone, but when i don't, it's there. What does this mean?

I dont know if this is the same thing, but when i hid the menu, it ads that border in place of the menu (file / view / control / help) In your picture the height on the top and bottom adds up to about the size of that menu so im guessing you are running into the same problem.
