If I return them what would give me high bass and even mid and high range response (with low distortion and good quality) for under $100?

i have these which have some great sound quality, but any rubbing on the cords causes a noisy sound to transfer to the bud.
i'm sure there are better ones out there.
Skullcandy full metal jackets are ok and you can probably get them for around 50. They have nice enough bass. If not I would definitely recommended going with monster, they're good for those types of head/earphones.

skullcandy is shit, and monster is overpriced shit.
just sayin'.
I had a set of Bose in-ear buds that run about $85 I think. They were noise canceling and the gel tips fit in comfortably. I got them free when I bought my $1000 headset from them.

True stuff. Skullcandy's have distortion and Monster turbines actually are $40 more than the CX 300 II while giving the same sound performance.
I decided to invest a bit more in a pair of headphones that will last me for many years: the Sennheiser IE 7. $170 and damn good for the price (competes with $300 phones).
how the heck are you measuring the performance of each frequency?
I'd say the Monster Jamz at $99.99 USD, or the 'Lil Jamz at $79.99, both are great headphones. And with the supertips they fit my ears perfectly.
