I've been playing with the FL 9.9 Beta for a while now (pretty much exactly like FL 10) and I'm never going back to 9. The 10th version is just so much more awesome in terms of workflow.

I trust their new VST wrapper is further improved?
If they keep this up I might end up buying it again...... :D

so they say. i tested their bridging when it first came out and it was le horrible. maybe the 64 bit support will work sometimes though...that would be baller. "Play" engine needs it to work for any kinda workflow to occur

The bridging in 9.7 worked like a charm, but in 9.8 it behaved very weird. Being a 64bit user I felt pretty blessed that the bridging solved 95% of all my problem with previous FL versions.

Shit occured that caused me to "lose" my original license centuries ago (well years) thanks to a muck up from IL.
If you wish to know the full story it should be somewhere in my post history, but if things keep progressing like this I might find it in me to forgive and forget (and support).

Could I just once more express how awesome all these changes look?
Anyone have any tips for getting away from pattern based production techniques?

How compacted can you get things on screen? I hate having giant bubbly channels/library/mixer. It makes me feel like I'm baby sitting digital jelly beans.
Does the playlist still offer blocks and not the visual stuff? (compactness issue again)

Use clips of patterns or enable legacy patterns in the menu?

I wanna start moving away from using patterns...I imagine they'd be phasing it out for a reason.

I still use 8 because I can use the XXL version, I've had 9's producer version and it just didn't do anything new for me.
But I feel way behind now:(

Well, again, the clip editor supports patterns and has since... for a while. That's mostly what I've been using it for even though it also supports individual samples and the like, and the clip editor is going nowhere fast.

Yeah kind of...East West 64-bit engine won't load....the only thing I need a 64-bit engine for!
Also mine loads up saying "producer edition" instead of xxl. Two glitches found in 5 minutes...I thought the whole point of beta testing every version up to 10 was to not release glitchy software....gah.
I'm less excited now. My pants are dry
