Your girlfriend will be far more broken over this than you, she was the one who it happened to having a dead baby taken from her, on top of the usual instinctive mothering emotions that came with it. You should really be helping her to feel better, trust me you aren't anywhere near as bad as she would be.

Does she really have cervical cancer, or does she just have HPV (human papiloma virus) that CAUSES cervical cancer?
Because if she has HPV, when she lost the baby because she had an STD, and not because god cursed her with evil cancer.
I know a lot of chicks that whine and moan about the whole "cervical cancer" nonsense, and yet don't have to go to chemo, don't have to go through biospies, don't have any symptoms other than heavy periods and cramping, in fact.
They even make a vaccine for HPV, but you have to actually care enough about your sexual health to take it.
And before any of you start mouthing off about me being callous, I've been around plenty of miscarriages. it's only emotionally crippling if you're an emotional cripple. Fucked as it is, a miscarriage is better than giving birth to a child with no chance of survival. My brother's wife miscarried at 8 months because she had HPV and it caused a deformity in the child.
Her second and third children are fine.
Miscarriages are normal. You just don't hear about them because people would rather live in denial about their human reproductive flaws than do something about them.
Also, encourage your friends to get the HPV vaccine. This disease can be stopped if people care enough to do something about it.
