I agree
I would love for duels to be brought back.
Would be fun to see.

If the answer is yes, you can't believe int he death penalty, as every human has the right to live, whether they have committed a crime or not.
Of course! Everyone deserves to live, even if they torture someone for 6 months and then nails them to a cross in their backyard and proceeds to shoot at them with a crossbow.
One syringe of potassium chloride + pine box coffin for burial does not cost as much as feeding a serial killer and housing them for the rest of their life.

Well, of course it would still be the same whether it's someone else, or me.

I think theres ways to punish people worse then death, just gotta be creative. The key is to punish harshly, avoid direct and instantaneous death, and prevent future crimes.
perhaps forcing him to live in isolation like Cane lol, or something.

Okay, I say we build a labor cmap, one for every county of every state. Then, they do stuff that helps the community. They're weapons, drugs, and any other illegal substances are confiscated. However many crimes they commited decides how long they're "visit" is. (1 crime: 5 years 2 crimes: 10 years 3 or more: life) And, without prisoners knowing, when they are on paroll, they are under constant sniper patrol. Any sign of crime... BAM ... Dead.
Only hands will satisfy them rumblys.
I am 100% for the death penalty, as long as you don't try to make it a science. Each crime should be looked at individually after guilt is determined. Check out the movie, An Eye For An Eye. In that movie, I totally support the mother. I wont spoil it, so I'll leave it at that. Go watch it.
Killing criminals doesn't solve the problem in the long run. What I'm basically saying is money should be spent on rehabilitation and getting to the root of crime to stop future crime. Spending money on education and renovating poor areas which are breeding grounds for crime is the solution, the lock the door and throw away the key approach nor killing the odd scum bag isn't gonna solve anything. This doesn't mean I'm against punishing criminals who have done disgusting crimes but prisons are overflowing in pretty much every western nation. What we're doing isn't working.

yes, so sorry no mutants or genetic experiments :P
I changed it to includes torture on purpose. No typos. Who wouldn't want to torture the person who killed their friends/family/pets or stole their stuff?

The idea of keeping somebody who deserves the death penalty behind bars is stupid if people don't want their tax money going to executing somebody it's just going to go for years on end of keeping him behind bars, eventually costing more than execution would.
Just fucking kill them, less people taking up our resources who don't deserve it. If somebody has done something to be punished the death penalty, then just hang them. Fuck it.
Yeah, whatever.

The only people that deserve the death penalty are the people that kill other innocents. If you kill an innocent person then you should be okay with death.

Solved. Next case please.
Have you even read a bit of the thread and understood it, or does every input that goes to your brain get cancelled and you act stupid on it? It costs more money to keep them alive, and here you are, saying "just lock them up for life, hurr durr solved" without even giving A PROPER REASON WHY!

I say those who are proven Guilty for a crime that usually fits the Death Penalty should be banished to Solitary Confinement. That, is A LOT more painful than it sounds.
Solitary confinement....ah, the silent killer. I think it can drive people crazy, as a result of lack of socialization or anything else except yourself in a black room...people drive themselves insane.
Separating the halves of their brain, and by that, the thing that connects them two together, might nullify the social factor and deem this useless. But who'd do it?
Also, I find out that sensory deprivation is far worse. Try staying in a position, gagged up, not hearing anything, eyes closed, etcetera. It seems okay for 1 hour or so, but after days on end, the body drives itself crazy in more than one department.
There was a case of someone who was exposed to sensory deprivation, and when he was finally released for trial (after 1 or so years!), the person thought his lawyers were against him and the people against him were on his side.
