You know what? I have to agree with this. Gorillaz was an amazing first album. Though I did like Demon Days better.

Another good one would have to be Saturate by Breaking Benjamin. But again, I think the follow-up, We Are Not Alone, was better.

Also, although the exact 'debut album' is contested, I am going to have to say 'Fungus Amongus' by Incubus was also undeniably awesome. Unless you count 'Enjoy Incubus' as their first album... which nobody does >8C

Thanks, sir. Remission is actually one of my favorites by them. Very raw and dirty. I liked Crack the Skye a lot, but I'd hardly call them the same band in those two albums.

Eminem's Slim Shady LP (first album from a major record label) is my favorite debut album. It's so flawless, nothing else can compare. But that's only obvious since it's Eminem. Another flawless debut album is Gazing At The Moonlight by Hopsin. Here's a song from the album.
