Animating Different characters. 2011-03-24 16:55:16 Reply

Hey.

I would like to ask all you animators out there that use Flash CS5 or CS4, when you animate several characters that will be appearing through out your animation, would you use separate layers for each character? Or just one layers for all the characters?

Thanks

Separate.

Flash can have up to 16,000 layers, so don't worry about using too many of them.

I personally like to keep my main timeline down to 10-20 layers and have each animated character, scenery, objects, etc. in their own symbols which have many layers themselves.
