Pfrt, my hawk-nosed bosmer was inspired by my love for those noses.

The is finally some progress being made regarding my own webcomic.. In the sense that I am communicating with people who want to help me build that site and make it look decent.
You have to start somewhere.
Oh man oh man oh man I can't wait

Anyway, while restlessly waiting for more on that subject, here is a sketch of me in my Kabutops-suit chasing a Bellsprout.
Because I can!

Because you had posted that picture of yourself in the outfit already, I totally guessed that's what this image was before I even read your post.

Soo.. I was making a charactersketch for one of the people in my upcoming movie for my Masters his year. The funny thing is that it is based on the voice of a friend of mine, so it's a bit strange to put a different face on him, but trying to imagine a person by listening to someone speak is pretty cool.
Anyway, I liked how it turned out so maybe I'll use it in the film, and wanted to show it to you guys.

Oh, thank you LegolaSS! :D Huge compliment, like.

Here's another charactersketch for my movie, based on the voice of my step-grandmother we call Nieke. Again, strange to find a new face for.

Different character design, for the same voice, Nieke. Not sure which one to use, but I actually like this one better.

Well, each drawing has a different personality.
The first one portrays the stern grandmother who can probably hit you with a slipper by throwing it down the hall.
The second one gives the feel of a grandmother who's just become much more cynical with every year.

Well yes, but the funny thing is both of these kind of fit the voice and what she's saying. I wish I could let you guys hear it, but you wouldn't understand what she says anyway.

Oh, right. Well, I would, but I have no idea where to put a piece of sound online. The dump here says it's quality is too low to upload.
And it really is heavily accented Flemish :p Saucy Antwerp accent, even my teacher couldn't understand some things.

This girly started out as just a test to see how to change the colour of a line, but I kind of liked the way she turned out.

Gah, i love the way you draw faces, mine always seem to come up kind of weird and a little generic. Do you draw them in "parts" (draw an oval, draw a cross in it, etc etc) or do you draw them straight ahead?

Who are you looking for? What are you looking at? A light? a star. A boat? an insect. A plane? a flying fish

Oh, well, most of the time I start off with an oval or circle shape and start adding stuff, yeah, like the guidelines for the eyes and such. But that's mostly for when I want the face to look kind of realistic, or when the head is turned at an angle in which it isn't very easy to guess where everything will be. For more cartoonish faces or easier, full frontal views of faces, I tend to draw less guidelines.
The girl I just posted for instance doesn't have a difficult face and was supposed to stay a sketch, so I just kind of drew her in one 'take'.

Her shape is a little "generic unrealistic babe" for me, but it's pretty caricature-y as is, so whatevs. I do like the line colour experimentation, the face/hair looks good! You should try making the rest of the lines accurate colours too, like skin tones/all that.

Yes, I know, she looks like a rather standard pretty-babe, but I don't actually draw a lot of those, I think. Those boobs were fun to draw though.
And I'm a sucker for black and white :D I know I should learn how to work more in colour, but I like the clean style of black/white and some shadows.

One drawing of my hipsterhair for Breaktroll, coming up.
(I'm actually planning on doing the other side too, this week)
(Also, in real life, my hair won't stay so neatly combed over to one side)
