4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsI make music that no one likes. I make pictures no one will ever see. I design games no one plays. I have ideas that no one cares about. No advice for improvement. No acknowledgment of my creations. "Shut up whiner, no one likes you." I just don't care anymore. Is it even worth the effort? Does anyone appreciate what I'm doing??

Didn't think so. I provide my own response since no one will read this.
Do it because you enjoy doing it. The first rule of making ANYTHING is that you are doing it for yourself - The fans will come, hustle your shit if it means so much to you. If you want money from it, fans, recognition, etc etc... It is all a matter of how hard you press it.
Yeah, whatever.

You don't have any games, and all you draw is circles.
I refuse to listen to your music.

But what if he's his own fan? Does that make him an unfriendly cunt?
Nice way to draw attention to yourself.
Because of this thread I WON'T look at your stuff :D
trying to gain a fan-base is about as useful as punching a dead baby, you'll get no response.

You peaked my interest, OP, your music isn't bad.
But fuck you anyway.
You can't expect people to appreciate what you make until you're good. Skill doesn't appear overnight. I've been a producer for 5-6 years and I'm still shit, put nothing in, get nothing out.

The man knows what he says.
Unless you suck -- if you suck, stop.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
You don't even want to know

This. I say things on this thread, that chances are, will never be read or taken seriously. I do it because that's who I am, and I don't let what you've stated change that. Just like the drawings I do, if I never get recognition, so be it, as long as I'm enjoying what I'm doing I'm fine with it.
Anyone else think we should 0 everything he's submitted?
The redesign happened, now my signature doesn't match anymore.
Some of my personal favorite art submissions have, like, NO reviews at all, and I don't even bat an eye because I enjoy what I've done.
What keeps me going isn't the feedback that I receive, it's the overall evidence that I am improving in my own talents that I deem to be important. As long as I'm steadily progressing, and getting creatively stronger and stronger, I can make myself happy by making others happy.....
Not everyone knows who I am yet. So I still got goals to improve on...but I can't rocket from ground level up to stardom in just a few easy steps. It takes time and belief in your own work. Revel and baste in your artistic juices and create something wonderful that's difficult to ignore. Take criticism with an open mind, and take from the Socratic Method of Learning: "You will forever be the student."
