I know there's a million threads on the japanese disaster but this is a different discussion.
With all that's happened, earthquakes, tsunamis, Volcanic eruptions, and being on the brink of a nuclear meltdown, do you think japan will be able to recover and become what it was just a few months before this? Personally, I think japan is going to have to find new land, as the land their on is too unstable.

It's impossible. Japans now lay their dicks on their country and decided not to do anything. Even in few years no any improvement will be applied. They just don't give a fuck anymore.
They decided to make your question simple, you know. Thank them someday.

What are they going to do, just say "K WE'RE GOIN LOLOLOL" and leave the land completely empty? Where are they going to go?

poland I believe. I heard it's empty, since all everyone went somewhere else looking for better job.

What kind of question is that?
This is Japan we're talking about, not Haiti.
They are some of the brightest, well educated people on the planet, and have recovered from worse things - Like the two nuclear bombs dropped on them in 1945.

I can't imagine the Japanese just moving into Poland like that. The Japs are much different than the Poles.
Besides, they've lived there long enough to realize that it is possible to stay there.

I believe you're mistaking Japan for New Orleans and Haiti.

I'm not saying just Pack up & Go, I'm saying if they want to never live through that again.

I will be highly surprised if they can't recover. Japan is a rich country and has had its share of problems its pulled through in the past. Sure there is a lot of problems right now but give them time and they can recover.
If any country gets utter lost from things like this they really don't have much dedication. Also Japan will get help with making it through also thats what the UN and other global things do for countries coming back from disasters. Theres no reason why Japan shouldn't be entitled for aid as well.

the land is just too damn unstable therefor people won't invest much in it. As this earthquake should have open peoples eyes. Because it won't be the last.
Japan was pretty stable before the quake, so I'm guessing Japan will recover within a good year though.

Maybe so, but everything other than the meltdown (did it blow up yet?) won't make the cities uninhabitable for generations.
Berlin and Warsaw recovered quickly after WWII. I'm sure the cities of Japan can too.
BTW, I was born in Poland.

Considering they have one of the best economies on the planet I think they'll be back on their feet in no time. Maybe just a little mutated from radiation, but still standing.

Not to mention Florida recovered from having several hurricanes attacking it in a single year.

Of course Japan will recover - none of the largest cities were even directly damaged by this earthquake and tsunamis except Sendai - which doesn't even rank in the top 10 largest cities. Sure, it's a great disaster but Japan is both a rich and extremely well developed country. No doubt it will recover, swiftly too.

They need to prevent a full meltdown that would release a radioactive cloud. If that would blow across their population it could be worse than anything they have faced from the quake tsunami.
If they can prevent their country from being irradiated they should be able to recover from this.

Moral of the story; Don't build nuclear power plants so close to fault lines.

I am sure that they can. After WW2 their country was bombed so heavily, not just by nukes but by firebombs as well that there was just nothing left. If they can rebuild from utter annihilation they can make it through this.

It will, but it will be in bad shape. Lots of people will move, the infrastructure is shit, and the economy will be in turmoil.
But hey, that's what happened to New Orleans after Katrina. They eventually recovered.

They're gonna do just fine. If they weren't tough, how do you think they could withstand a Godzilla attack just about every other year?
