Need entertainment

I recently moved to Alaska because the Army made me, and I've been pretty cool with it up til about now. I'm going fucking insane with boredom. I live on Fort Wainwright it's a 5 minute drive from Fairbanks. I've explored Fairbanks to the best of my abilities and from what I noticed there is Jackshit to do there. It's just stores and restaurants.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is I need something to do with my life. I've played video games to death. My weekends consist of alcohol and it is getting rather boring also. I need something... anything to keep myself sane for as long as possible.
Anybody from around Fairbanks know anything fun to do in the area? Anybody have any suggestions?

Well you could take up a hobby you've always been interested in but never quite had the time to get into.

You could;
Paint some model cars/planes etc.
Take up Drawing/Painting
Take up modeling (Like modeling clay)
I assume there's snow, build a snow fort or a snow man. Fuck build an army of snow men
Write a journal about all the shit you see and have done
You could try and write a book or a story
You could study a subject you've always been into or wanted to learn
You could watch a shit ton of movies
Maybe it's possible you can go fishing
Hell make a makeshift sled and go sledding
You could break shit, that's always fun.
You meditate
You could do some deep thinking
You could sit on your hand till its numb and give yourself a stranger
You could let a stranger give you a stranger

Although fapping is a good suggestion that isn't going to kill 8 hours a day.

I tried picking up a hobby. I can't find one that keeps me interested. I've tried painting, programming, building shit. None of which interests me or am I any good at. I've even signed up for college to get ahead when I get out of the army. It's not fun but it's something to keep me sane.

Nowadays catching 'em all can take a long time. And if you do catch 'em all, try getting all the shinys and special Pokemon. Then if you do that try getting them all up to level 100. And if you do that try to become a world champion by competing in contest. And if you do that, try the TCG or Pokemon Trozie, Or Snap, Or Mystery Dungeon, Or Pokemon Rangers, Or Pokemon Pinball, Or My Pokemon Ranch.

I figure that'll last you till the day you die.

And the Mangas like Pokemon Adventures, Pokemon: The Electric Tale of Pikachu, Magical Pokemon Journey, Ash and Pikachu, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Shinji's Rescue Team, and the movie adaptations. Also there's the childrens books and the soundtracks.

If you can't finish it all in this lifetime try getting your offspring to do it for you. That is if you can find the time to reproduce.

Oh and I forgot to mention the merchandise you can buy. Don't worry about money, I hear you can sell your Pokemon for quite a lot of money.

You could find a girlfriend. Then after you guys date for a while, one of you should get some sort of flesh eating disease (I don't care witch one of you, draw straws or some shit). Then you go through a few LONG months of debilitating pain along with gag inducing physical changes to your face and body (leprosy should work well). After that the sick one will die, probably a slow, painful, smelly death. After the death you can take a few years to get over it. You will grieve by participating in activities such as alcoholism, clinical depression, bi-polar disorder, sex with hobos, coconut rape, fights to the death with Eskimos, constant SNM masturbation, and knitting. Then you can drink a bottle of pepto bismal, get a burrito, and continue living your life as you did before all the tragedy.
