Oh fucking god this new beach house is beautiful
MBV are a classic, Loveless was just remastered.
I just gave Slowdive a second listen and Souvlaki is amazing.
Mainly Souvlaki Space Station and When The Sun Hits.
I may begin to spend quite a bit of time here. I've only really discovered the joys of shoegaze in the past few months, but having a place here to discuss it would be pretty good considering I intend on spending a bit more time here again. My all time favourite shoegaze release is Have a Nice Life's debut Deathconsciousness (doomgaze, I know, but a derivative nonetheless), but from this year Whirr's album Pipe Dreams really stands out as an incredible album, my second favourite from this year is the Sleep Party People's We Were Drifting On A Sad Song, some of the best dreampop I've heard in such a long time, Melancholic Fog and Gazing At The Moon being standout tracks (and the single, Chin, being kind of forgettable in my opinion).
its a bit more indie but theres some dream pop on here, all very hip
Bringing this thread back from the dead.
Just out of curiosity, does this song qualify as Shoegaze?
Also, I really enjoy that Ulrich Schnauss track. Definitely checking out the rest of his music!

Yeah they do, they're a standard shoegaze band. I saw them live earlier this month too, absolutely fantastic show.

Haven't heard either of them, but I'm sure you could consider them that.
So I was in Barns and Noble today and found My Bloody Valentine's Loveless in the bargain bin. I realized I didn't own a physical copy anymore so I picked that up for only $6.First time I've ever found anything decent in those bins,

What makes you think they are then ? >:(

Sorry I misworded that. I meant to say I've heard Boris before and could definitely hear influence from many different genres. Either way, I want this club to be able to discuss music of really any genre as long as it has dreampop or shoegaze influence ;)
I will check out those releases now though. I really enjoy Feedbacker but have';t branched out at all.

I wouldn't consider a lot of the music I post to be "shoegaze", but I don't really like putting music in boxes anyhow. I just figure if you like shoegaze and you like the majority of the music posted in this club you probably have very similar music tastes to myself, and maybe it's a bit of a stretch but I assume some of you may like to grow your library, not limited to a single (or two) genre(s).
Also Mogwai is awesome

It's great. I'm really glad this album didn't disappoint after such a long wait and so much hype built up.
