I used an adblocker to try and disable the ads on NG, but apparently, I suck. I didn't get rid of any of the ads but I did get rid of the pictures at the top of the page, including those around the text for things like the flash portal, audio portal, the BBS, etc. So basically, getting anywhere now is like a blindfolded game of darts. It's starting to piss me off. I just disabled the adblocker and it had no affect. Tips?

Also, have a silverfish.

I still have the ads, it's just everything else that's gone.

Try reinstalling your browser. Whatever program or addon you downloaded may have messed with it somehow. Also, I recommend doing a virus scan. If these problems are persisting even after you've uninstalled the program, although it could just a simple matter of changed settings in your browser, it also may be the doings of malware. Check it out to be sure.

Get NoScript? I find it a lot better for blocking ads while still letting the website function.

To me it sounds more like you blocked images from Newgrounds rather than block ads. Try finding the list of sites you're blocking images from and remove Newgrounds from the list.

For Firefox:
Tools > Options > Content > Load Images Automatically > Exceptions

I can understand blocking pop-ups, but what kind of problem would you have with banner ads?
