I'm new here and I wanna know how many teens here produce music.
And also, what the most popular genre here is.

The genre with the most submissions is currently Techno. Which people just use as a placeholder genre for electronic music in general. Trance and Ambient are popular genres too.

no I don't think people look at ages at all and they certainly don't vote them down more than others.

That said, everybody gets their share of 0 votes now and then, that's just an unfortunate result of having an open voting system.

yeah actually i think the younger you are, the more impressed i would be with a person's music. I'm 16 and i make good music, i think my scores reflect that. so as long as you're really making music, your age doesnt matter i dont think.

Oh well, I mix hardcore with dnbbreaks (like DDR) I'm only 14 but a geek at producing music.
I think we shouldn't look at someone's age/gender, but listen 2 da music.
Also, most teens here are like 16-17 aren't there any younger teens?

Well, that's debatable. I mean, it's hard to judge talent when everyone's writing different styles. I'd say there are composers who write 'classical' music -- since that's the section I frequent the most -- who are far more talented. But, that's just my opinion.

I started writing music when I was 10. Didn't join NewGrounds until this year though, so, much older.

Don't feel bad, I wasn't even a teenager when I started producing music for this site (I was a teenager when I started producing music, however). I guess I'm one of the few old men on here.

And no, no one cares how old you are - the only thing that matters is that you produce quality work.
