Specifically, Liam Gallagher of Oasis (Beady Eye whatever the fuck) bashes Radiohead's new album The King of Limbs
His thoughts on Radiohead's new album
"I heard that fucking Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!'" Gallagher declared. "I like to think that what we do, we do fucking well. Them writing a song about a fucking tree? Give me a fucking break! A thousand year old tree? Go fuck yourself! You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?"
Liam is a petulant little shit who couldn't write a decent lyric to save his cunting life. WHAT A SILLY LITTLE COINCIDENCE THAT HE HAPPENS TO DO THIS JUST AS BEADY EYE RELEASED A NEW ALBUM HMM HMM THERE IS NO WAY THAT THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE A PUBLICITY STUNT ON HIS PART TO GAIN ALBUM SALES. Also I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if he listened to Lotus Flower and all he took away from it was a song about a tree he is a fucking moron. Hey Liam, there's these new things called metaphors.
I mean I don't necessarily blame him. Radiohead is better than Oasis/Beady Eye in just about every way. Radiohead has evolved and developed and become better and better over time. Oasis/Beady Eye will be and has always been shitty britpop with a few shameless "inspirations" from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
so yeah

While I agree with you to some extent about Liam.
Oasis were a good band, mostly because of the better brother Noel but no need to slag them off just because Liam has always been the same big headed twat since his teens.

They definitely were good I just don't think they're on the same level as Radiohead musically.

That's probably just a matter of opinion.
As someone who was growing up in 90s England, Oasis were almost untouchable for their genre. While Radiohead were about then, it seems to have taken them longer to get a steady fanbase going.
I won't deny that Oasis mania ended really with the 90s and Radiohead only grew and grew but it doesn't stop Oasis' history.
Really, I don't think the two should be compared. Compare Oasis with Blur? Sure. Compare Radiohead with Muse? Sure. Compare Oasis/His new band I really don't care about with Radiohead. Fuck off Liam.
This is why Liam fucks himself over because he is comparing things that shouldn't be comparable, all for the sake of people remembering him.
If only we could forget him sometimes.

I think Liam's just nostalgic for the 90s when there was actually rivalry between Oasis and Radiohead. I'm a fan of both, and enjoy both of their new albums. I think it'd be fucking hilarious if Liam wrote a song about a modern tree for Beady Eye though.

They both suck, so neither is in a position to say anything about the other.
Yeah, whatever.

Seems like he doesn't even listen to the album at all. I kind of feel sad for him really, he's probably just jealous that nobody likes his band anymore while Radiohead remain relevant and outstanding with every album they release and are widely consider one of the greatest bands of all time.

I listened to the new Radiohead album and found it awful.
I'm a fan of both bands here, but I'd take Liam's side in this situation.

Never liked Oasis since I found out what a douchebag the main guy was. I don't even know his name, but he was swearing at the camera on live TV, and making hand gestures. Such a tool, clearly drunk and tripping at the same time.

Radiohead do suck really badly, so I guess this is justified.

I'm not a huge fan of the new Radiohead album myself, but Liam Gallagher is a loutish prick in any case.

Liam is just butthurt because he doesn't get love like Thommy x3. Just seems like he's attention seeking again, I stopped taking his dumb little stunts seriously a long time ago. He needs a cock slap.
I love Radiohead's new album :D

What is this blenderEye band you guys keep mentioning? Was I sleeping under a rock, or does it suck enough to not gain support? I agree, Oasis came and went with the '90s.

are you making the argument that Radiohead has always been shit or that Radiohead has gotten worse since their first albums because I can go with either one

Their older stuff is better than the newer stuff in my oppinion. OK computer and The Bends were great. The ones that came after, not so much. But that's just my oppinion.

Kid A and Hail to the Thief are amazing. And Pablo Honey was absolute garbage.

I like oasis more than radiohead. I think their music is beautiful.
Less innovative but still beautiful.
And the writers are absolute cunts. Pity.

I agree with your oppinion of Pablo Honey. I just fail to appreciate the greatness of Kid A and Hail to the Thief.
