A sequel to a masterpiece... 2011-03-05 00:05:48 Reply

I really miss F-Zero games. Ever since F-Zero GX (not counting GP because that one was crap) I've been wanting a new F-Zero game. The only sad part is the Wii doesn't have much potential for an F-Zero game, and Xbox 360 or PS3 do have it. Think about it:

- Better graphics
- Massive, 30 player online matches (including death race!)
- More pilots
- More tracks
- More parts for more customizable F-Zero machines

What's best is that they could make more tracks and up for sale on the XBLDC :D

If the Gamecube made a masterpiece out of F-Zero, Xbox 360 and PS3 can do x2 the job.

Because seriously, Wii online sucks. And I want to play F-Zero competitively since I've actually proven myself to be amazing at F-Zero GX by unlocking the AX Cup, beating everything in Master Class, and only missing 1 F-Zero racer (the Groovy Taxi).

Everybody knows F-Zero on 360 or PS3 is not going to happen, I'm just saying it would turn out amazing...

Are you kidding!? It would be awesome on the Wii.

Wii has motion control and shit. So does the PS3, but you have to pay $100 extra for that shit.

Doesn't Nintendo have exclusive publishing rights for F-Zero, though? I've only ever seen those games on Nintendo consoles, but maybe that's just due to me not paying much attention to the franchise.
At any rate, I'd be happy with an entry on the Wii, if nothing else.

Why, exactly? Would it just look better? The only, and I mean the ONLY difference would be that it would be in HD. Is that the only reason? If the GameCube could handle an F-Zero game, I'm pretty dang sure the Wii is capable of doing such a thing as well. They can still add more content and features. Yes, the online for the Wii sucks, and so does the graphics. But if F-Zero were to be put on an HD system, the only difference would be HD graphics and crappy multiplayer for children to curse and moan about in. You should watch this and stop moaning about the Wii not being in your age group.

I can't stand that guy.

Anyway support for the newer consoles with many old games would be great. Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow for instance is probably the only one bar its sequel that effectively used the multiplayer system. If that was rereleased in HD it would be a hit.

And the multiplayer wouldn't be crappy either for Zero if they stuck to the original formula, just because kids curse and moan in multiplayer doesn't make the game crappy. "Don't hate tha playa." as the saying goes.

I love F-Zero GX. The problem is that Nintendo still owns F-Zero. It will never be on any Microsoft or Sony console. Besides, Nintendo can't make good games anymore, so I doubt they'd ever make another F-Zero game.

I don't really like Nintendo's online services myself but having a new F-Zero game on the Wii would be ideal for my friends. We've played F-Zero X a few times and I'm sure we could all get a kick from an F-Zero game for the Wii. I've been wanting Nintendo to make an F-Zero game for the Wii ever since I picked up F-Zero X on Virtual Console. Hopefully they've got a new game on the way.
