But if I had to pick a favourite year personally, 2005 or 2006.

The innocence of youth :). Anyways, my favorite year would probably have to be '06. I just got the feeling that the place was a tad more free and you could get away with more tomfoolery back then.

2002 was the best year for NG. All the excellent NG users joined in 2002.

2008 was good, but 2010 was better. However, the icon thing really ticks me off - I like a square shape!

04 - 06 had an excellent flavor, so I'd have to say 05, but I think everyone either picks the latest year possible or the first year they joined because those are the most distinctive.

Based on the flash that was released in the 05 era though, that's the time I enjoyed the best.

I think every year brings something good. Of course, some events bring some negative energy with them - but overall I still think they are entertaining me (which they have for almost 8 years now).
There's not a partically year that can be considered as 'the best year ever', I think it would not be fair saying that. NG is under constant development with its contests, events and (hopefully soon) new features - every year brings something good, and bad...

The animation and style gets better with every year, but I think the year that there were the most submissions that I gave a perfect score of 10 would be 2009. It did manage to have some of my all time favorite things. In terms of the year that had the most great artists come to the website, 2003 is the year that had the debuts (meaning the first time someone put their flash up here) more than anyone else on my favorite author list.

I like 2008 a whole lot.

'07 started the shitstorm we know today.

'06 was a pretty awesome year for me, granted it was my second year.

In general that seems to be the answer for everyone, including me. I've known about Newgrounds since 2000 when my brother known as Herblin signed up but I never started coming on here 'till 2008.

I've only been here for two years. 2009-2011.

I think 2009 was a good year.

2005-2006

2004 brought the greatest thing to NGs, me.

I always thought 2006 was the best year I've witnessed here on a lot of fronts. The years after were a little bit less good to my experience, but I have to say that in 2010 things were looking up again.

Just my personal experiences though. I didn't keep track of every part of the site and there have been periods where I was less active around this place.

Probably about 2002-2003 when I first started coming to play games and stuff.

Its entirely subjective of course, I just have fond memories of me and my friend playing stuff on his computer
