Oh god, you're one of THOSE people. You do realize that a MAD scenario playing out isn't exactly a win situation? The people trying to kill us are people whose countries we invaded, or countries that we have helped overthrow DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED (Oh hey, I thought we for democratization?) leaders in favor of tyrants in our pockets?
There are ways to go about it, but apologising and backing down like a pussy isn't the way
Oh right. I'm sure that telling everybody else to follow our lead or else will go over great in todays world. Apologizing is the first step towards reconciliation.
We do fuck up, I don't deny that. And despite all that, we are still the greatest nation ever. What I hate is people who piss and moan about everything America does while reaping the benefits.
You're absolutely right. We should just ignore what is wrong instead of address it.

I didnt say we should go to a nuclear war. But we are all evenly matched. And there is common ground to be reached. Since America isnt 100% wrong, we shouldnt be making the first apology.

They blew up two of our buildings and killed hundreds of Americans, if we joined WW1 for the Lusitania it makes sense we're over there.

No, but he would have certainly tried. Good things citizens have guns that they can use against him.
Why are you bringing up stupid one in a million situations to fight this argument? Guns save more lives than they take.

Just yesterday, over 60 million gun owners in the U.S. did not commit a gun crime.
Everywhere I go, there's a sergeant there.

8,000 lives taken compared to the apparent 2.5 million "saved." How many lives are we willing to sacrifice for the "greater good"? The first result that gave this number was from a website called "gunowners.com"

You mean the Saudi hijackers who had no connection to Iraq, (You know, one of the only places in the ME that had its foot on radical islams throat?) and who was only based in Afghanistan?

Surprisingly, that is not how it works.
It's more of:
Damn man, Jerome just got blasted.
We gotta make that shit right dawg.
And most of those B&Es would occur during the day, or when they do it quietly when the person is sleeping.

yeah, hard to say a loss when they both signed that decleration, a loss would be the entire btish army was destroyed.
I guess the british didnt think it would be smart risking a lot of emn and money on america but I never did the American revolutionary war.

Taking guns out of the equation will not keep people from being killed. They will just be killed another way.
Also, in 2/3 of criminal homicides, the person being killed is a criminal themselves. When you look at the statistics, and see the number of people killed, you cannot assume that they were all innocent people that got shot for no reason while walking down the street.

But the number will be drastically lower considering that they would have to be closer, be able to overpower them or catch them off guard. Guns are an easy win button when you want somebody dead, and has less chance of you getting caught if you're using a stolen gun because the odds of you leaving behind evidence will be lower.

So because they are criminals it's ok that they died?? You do realize that if you have a dub on you, you are classified as a criminal? Shoplifting? Criminal.

Oh heavens forbid people complain about problems and attempt to find solutions or address them or try to reconcile over the past. Let's follow your ideology and go the way of cowboy politics again and have the rest of the world hate us and not want to show support for us.

Because no one is willing to meet us there. War crimes are committed by our enemies, yet we are the ones who have to follow the rules.

We are still hated. Nothing has changed. We have people like Ft. Hood, Christmas Day Bomber, Time Square Bomber, etc. still happening. So being the pussy is not the way to go.

Right. The US does not commit any war crimes ever, and our ex leader can leave the country without worry because other countries won't try him for war crimes. So because no other country (Except for the ones who do) want to try, we should say fuck it and be just as bad as them?

Better to piss off the enemy then try to make everything better? Domestic terrorism has been happening for years, and us being the asshole will only make things worse.

RB, Here's my question to you.
You say my cowboy mentality doesn't work. Looking at our pussy in chief, obviously being apologetic and backing down doesn't work either. What do we do?

As long as there are rules they are going to be broken, the things I suggested would just raise the amount of guns bought on the black market. But less people are willing to break the law to get guns than people who wouldnt.
And isnt the point to get crime as low as possible?
The crime rate will never be low until we abolish all laws.
