Ultimate Universe: Fighting Game

Imagine if you favorite fiction characters (cartoon, video game, etc) was meet by another characters that you may recognize and at first fought each other to death, but realized that there was a bigger threat on the horizon. That's what my game is going to be about. (I might make it using unreal engine or LBP2). Tell me what you think and what you like to see or any suggestions. The fighting system and style is a combination of Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Smash Bros (but with health bars and no cheap flying off deaths) with interactive environments. (Ex: Iron Man's Specials are Repulsor Rain shower, and Uni-Beam Blast)

So you mean like MUGEN, but with a plot?

I have thought about it for a while, but have concluded that there are several legal issues regarding use of Intellectual Properties and that it would require a massive team effort to even get out into the hands of the public.

There would have to be re-spriting of older characters, making sprites for characters who don't have them, balancing the shit out of said characters, coming up with an entirely new game mechanic system to compensate for all the characters in it...

...just play Vanilla MUGEN and pretend that the story is that a trans-dimensional rift has been tearing apart all the fictional universes and the only thing that this has inspired is a big dick-waving tournament to figure out who is the "best fighter".

2 players have three people on there side (3 vs 3). However, it can be played with up to 6 people (You can guess what I'm talking about). You can do a variety of team specials that could ....... sadly to say suck........ or be really effective!!! You can switch between characters.There is no instant kills or smash balls to use your characters many specials, instead, you have to beat up your opponent till you special bar is up (the max in level 5). Each character has multiple move sets.
