Hi guys,
at the end of last year for english we had to make a ballad. This is what I came up with let me know what you guys think!

"In the sky there is a god"
The boy's friend once said,
And he couldn't tell you how many nights,
he had thought of this in bed

"In the sky there is a god"
That's what the boy had been told.
"And to the sky you shall go,
When you grow too old!"

"In the sky there is a god"
This statement the boy could not believe.
Where was god when he needed advice?
Where was god when he grieved?

"In the sky there is a god"
The boy became tired of hearing this.
Where was god when he couldn't sleep?
When he yearned for a mothers goodnight kiss?

"In the sky there is a god"
It's aIl the boy would ever hear,
It really all started when,
His parent's car drove of a pier.

"In the sky there is a god
And he gave you a second life!"
If there really was a god,
He wouldn't have put the boy in this strife.

If in fact there is a god,
Why is he not here right now?
Helping me the boy care for his siblings,
Helping him feed them chow?

If in fact there is a god,
He isn't very just,
He has been so cruel to the boy,
It's not like he has ever cussed.

If in fact there is a god,
He is forever in the boy's debt,
The boy has paid a price for him,
He will forever be beset.

Maybe there is a god,
But then he has some explaining to do,
Why did he kill the boy's parents?
Leaving him with all these things to do?

However, the boy wouldn't have it any way
If it had been him who also died that day,
His brothers and sisters would be even more alone,
So maybe god and the boy should just atone.
