I can't wait, if it really is a true zombie survival game (which in my opinion we haven't had yet) then it should be brilliant.

Me thinks it will involve lots on stealth and sneaking around because guns are so scarce. Also i heard unlike dead rising running into a crowd of like 10 zombies is pretty much suicide.

I'm hopeful for this title and I really want it to be good only because I'm such a fan of the zombie genre... however I'm going to wait for more information and gameplay videos to surface before putting my money down on getting it.
As well done as the trailer was, I cannot base the entire experience of the game off of it.
This was one of the best trailers for a video game I've ever seen. I'll definitely be getting this if it focuses more on the emotions of the characters involved and has a good story.
Not to sound like a fag but i hope the game has decent music unlike other zombie games which just have guitar chords all the way through.

It looks interesting since it actually looks like it has some emotion in it unlike L4D and Dead Rising. Neither of those games really tried with a storyline although Dead Rising at least made an attempt. But, i'll have to see some gameplay videos for this game. Not sure if I wanna kill zombies all wearing corny Hawaiian button-ups and swim trunks.
I am hopeful for this game, the only problem being I've been wiating for gameplay footage since it was announced as near completion at the time MW2 was announced.
So far all the gameplay footage i have seen turns out to be fraud. As far as music i also hope it comes out better than just heavy metal guitar strings. There has to be more to it to get you raveled in to the gameplay. Just like what Obscured did. Kind of like how this song captured the suspense. Not saying dead island should sound like obscured, those are two completely different vibes all together, but it does have to capture you like the obscure soundtrack did.

Yeah I am pretty disappointed with this as well. The trailer gave me a lot of hope for a badass realistic survival game where you need to worry about food, water, and ammo. Looks like its just gonna be another zombie shootemup like Left 4 Dead. Not saying I didn't enjoy Left 4 Dead but I don't really want a different series going down the same route.

The Call of Juarez developer's zombie-themed shooter was originally expected to drop on Xbox 360 and PC in 2008, and is now expecting a 2011 release on PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360. Dead Island is a "first-person zombie-slasher/action-RPG" that takes place in a world overrun by the infected. The players are the last remaining against the bloodthirsty hordes of undead in a tropical paradise. According to IGN, there will be few firearms, and instead most combat will involve everyday items such as knives, machetes, bats, etc.

That trailer totally made me cry. I liked how they walked it back to front too. And beautiful music really helped to set the mood too.

All i know is i've been waiting 5 years nearly for this game to come out i hope it finally get's released it's looking great!
The trailer is a masterpiece. And one would expect that it would benefit the game. But since the game has so little to do with this amazing trailer I believe it's going to bite them in the ass.

Have you ever seen a case where the trailer for a game had so little to do with a game and the people not be pissed off? From the little bits of info on the game recently, it seems like it will be a massive disappointment. For shame, Techland/Deep Silver.

The clothes didn't mutate, the zombie is wearing a straight jacket. I'd assume he escaped from some sort of hospital from the island's main population centres.
They're making some different zombies to keep things varied an entertaining as a game.
I watched the trailer and was sad, I was so fucking hyped.
I saw some information regarding the actual gameplay and story.
