I'm a complete amateur to art expressions, so, I have no idea what's the difference about each other, so, as long as it doesn't look strange, I'll take it!
Just draw some girl (upper part of her body only!) and show it to me, you don't need to color her. (Not for now)

(Traditional / Digital)
On both games, all you do is shoot things, repair your walls and buy/find new weapons. However, I really liked both games, and played them until their end.
I'm not talking about gameplay, I'm talking about art direction. The thing is: all those games with similar gameplay have some distinct art style. You don't. You're following a pattern that's been done to death before. You've said you would prefer anime and clean smooth lines, in other words, exactly what you've shown: the most boring kind of anime there can possibly be.
Maybe like Draghead's one? LOL
I'm not fast to defend Droghead, but you are being downright insulting. At least Droghead is trying to make his own stuff, unlike you who is scared of taking the genre in a new directions. I would prefer Droghead's drawings over any example you've shown so far.
A rather disgusting-looking git that should have been disposed of ages ago.

Does this fit your liking? Anime is serious business. This is only an example on how crappy I can be when it comes to anime.
I'm starting to think this isn't worth my time. Oh well, moving along.

@ test-object
I'm not following a pattern, I AM open to use any other kind of art, but about Droghead's art, that is NOT a kind of art I'd like to have in my game!
"The most boring kind of anime there can possibly be"
Okay, thats YOUR point of view. For me, it isnt boring, for a thousands and thousands of people, it isn't, just like for another thousands and thousands of people it IS.
I can't make everyone happy you know.
Okay, I insulted Droghead, but your also insulting me, since your first post on this thread, you've insulted the way of art I like.
When did I say I won't accept any other kind of art? Does Abbyka's art look anime-like? No. but I still contacted her and I'm almost choosing her already.
By the way, when I said "here's an example of what my game will be like", I meant to link this :

Sorry for that.

Oh, yeah, forgot about you, sorry =P
Yeah, that picture looks REALLY good! I really liked that! (Will contact you via PM)
"How crappy you can be?" Yeah sure, then my failed anime drawings are below baby'ish.
"I'm starting to think isn't worth my time. Oh well, moving along. "
Huh?

While you were busy complaining about him insulting someone's art style, you were busy insulting mine. I like anime and most of my artwork is anime. I can do other stuff, but I do prefer anime. Just my two cents. It's a bit hypocritical to tell him he can't insult someone's art while you are essentially doing the same thing. Who cares if anime is "mainstream"? It's the storyline that counts. There are plenty of games and vids on newgrounds that I have sat through with completely horrible artwork but the storyline made up for it.
And btw, dammit 50-50. :( Go away with your amazing abilities!
I was gonna post something the moment my scanner starts working, but I guess there's no point now that Fifty-50 posted that Frikken amazing picture :(

Yeah that is probably the best thing I've seen in a while and it's not even colored in yet. T_T
If it's any consolation, my manga is... acceptable?

Don't worry. I decided to just give the spot to you. Because of your financial state. It's alwqays great to help out.

Sorry for that.
Theres already a project like that going on, Project Denovo
That takes a hell of a lot of work; you might want to think about a team.
Also, for the amount of work that would take, you might wanna invest a bit more money ;)

Thanks, 50. T_T It's also giving me something to do to take my mind off of everything. Just after I submitted my art in this thread things only got worse so it's especially appreciated that I have it.

Yeah, I've got 2 people and me working on it, we all have each other's MSN and I think we are a united team, as we had a lot of fun talking about random stuff yesterday =P
We won't give up! (Atleast not me '-')
And... It surely takes a lot of work, but I think its easy (atleast for me '-') as while I've been making the story for Spring Wind, I ended up creating 2 other stories that made myself and Marky cry (lol)
(That means we will have 2 more projects to work on when we finish Spring Wind! =D)
It's only time consuming, as programming isn't difficult for me.
About the money, as I'm really not interested in making any, I'm giving away all the revenue to Abbyka and Marky.
Huh?
I really don't mind that it's a lot of work for one artist to take on. With having to close my etsy shop I have more time and I don't work since I have to stay home with my kids. Gives me something to take my mind off of life. And I get more practice!
Guys, he's not going to pay you.
It's newgrounds, you will simply post the image, he can take a do what he likes with it, and then run away without paying. It's not eBay, it's a forum.
I may be wrong, but that's what I've always found with this sort of thing. Too many times.

oh my god, you discovered my evil plan >_>
Time's up! The artist chosen is Abbyka! Congratulations! =)
To everyone else, don't give up! Everyone had amazing drawning skills that I could never do anything like that! It's sad but I can only choose one.
Thanks to everyone who participated!
Anyways, if someone's wondering, I think the project will be done in around 1 or 2 months.
