Working for EA is very much enjoyable. At the end of the day, my job is "just another job", except that it comes with a lot of side-benefits, like free massage, flexible working hours, a really awesome sports-initiative (called DICE Sports) through that we get yoga, tennis, martial arts classes, we do lots of events f.ex. mud-runs similar to Tough Mudder (Swedish version called Tough Viking), paintball etc etc.
The stuff I do, voice Over design, gives me the oppurtunity to sometimes travel around the globe as well. Which I love doing.
At DICE, I also get to work with some of the very best people in the whole industry, perhaps specifically in the Sound department that I'm part of, whom have gotten numerous awards for the sound in various titles, including two BAFTA's for BF:BC2 and BF3 (the latter I was lucky enough to work on:).
EA is a big company, and it's actually really sad to see how much un called for Internet-rage there is towards the company. Extremely screwed up enough, EA has been voted "worst company" twice, beating evil corporations who pollute and destroy the nature etc etc.
When you learn stuff about game develoment on AAA level, you understand and appreciate the massive conplexity of creating these titles. Creating a game is extremely hard. Having to cater for the creative side of things, it can also be challenging to "just" realize good ideas in to fun gaming-time, which of course is the main purpose of most games - to create a fun and enjoyable experience.
Now of course the games have to sell and make profit, otherwise there wouldn't be any money to actually keep studios and franchises alive, but i think it's important to recognize that EA puts "players first", it's something that have been pushed for hard since Andrew Wilson became CEO. I'm not really allowed to reveal any details, but I can witness that there've been a lot of positive changes in development, which I strongly believe will lead to more fun experiences. Apart from enjoying working for EA, I also have very high hopes for the future within EA!

So yeah, man, I do love working for EA, and I would strongly recommend the company for anyone interested i. Developing games. Of course though, my experience is limited to that of working at EA DICE in Sweden.
