Animator wanted.

Hey what's up NG? You probly haven't heard of BDSyndicate yet cause, well, we don't have an animator. We have actors, musicians, writers, but lack animators or art talent/knowledge in flash. I, the founder, honestly suck and try to learn, but still suck. The animator group, Ink Sheath, has 0 members, so we need talent ASAP. Recording can be done now actually, but we require an animator of talent.

We are just starting out, so there is no pressure, but there are a few requirements. Applicants have to 1) own Adobe Flash or know a guy whose uncle can get it for them 2) have a unique drawing style that is appealing to the rest of BDS and can be drawn quickly yet still retain a moderately high level of quality and 3) while not required, applicants should have a few flashes under their belt. Artists are welcome to apply but must know an animator that can work with flash for them. If anyone actually needs them or cares, I have character sketches as points of reference.

To finish, if you would like to apply, send your NG Username, a sample of your work, and contact info here. If you know someone with talent who isn't on the portal, bring him into the community.

Animators should provide some of their work, be it a movie they had drawn or simply animated for another artist. If that is the case (artist/animator team) send me the info for both of you. Artists apply under the same rules as solo animators.

*Note* No anime style or clones. I want this to have a unique feel to it. I have high expectations, but there is always room for improvement. +10 pts if you live near NYC!

I do not want people who try to copy other popular animators. I want original art, not a fanboy's tribute to Egoraptor or Stamper.

Hmm.. I'd be pretty pumped to have a team member who could draw similar to Stamper. Egoraptor, not so much haha

Great stuff! I would be honored if you would be an animator on my project. If you are still interested, just send me a PM and I will give you more information abut what it is you would be drawing. Just a heads up though, this is a long term project, a series if you would so allow it. If you can make time for this then I would love to bring you aboard. If not, then thanks anyhow.

you havent answered the following questions:

why is it better for someone talented to work with you instead of on their own?

whats in there for the animator?

where do you wanna get with your team?

Peeka Boo! Official Userpage for this group. I guess I should answer Sacros. This is cheese, just the more official cheese.

So. Let's see. Point one: You're right, this post is not different, because I am asking for an animators help when I need it, but not as an individual, but as an actual organization. That is the benefit of working with us, as we rely on you just as you rely on the writers and the voice actors. We work as a team because it is easier to get things done. Instead of having to worry directly about the script, the animator has more time to animate, but is encouraged to offer criticism on the other parts of the organization. When the animator is tasked with all fields of work, you wind up with College University. Popular, but eventually burning out due to lack of material.

We plan to have three moderate series, one short one, a hefty one. On a team, less time is spent because more work can be done amongst the group (more writers=faster writing, established cast=faster voice acting) More can be done in a group than by just one person.

As the animator, you would receive credit for the animation portion. But who cares about art for art's sake? The four groups would split any money and then amongst the members if they took part in the flash. The animator, as the only member of the drawing group, would receive the entire portion, and prizes dealing with he field of animation, and a little bonus on top of the basic amount (you did deal with Flash for us...)

The team wished to make flash we like, hoping you like it too and get a little joy out of Newgrounds. We are mostly drama students who love to joke around, so this was a perfect opportunity to make things fun for everybody.

Finally, if I must, the main project at the moment if called CrackHead. It is a comedy about college students. Call it cliche if you must, but it is the perfect atmosphere for a cartoon. The characters are young, open to change and growth, learning all the time, and getting into social situations. I am kind of a slut for character development, so this environment is appealing to me. I have basic character design and what the world should look like, but I leave more advanced details to the animator. This also is the only flash project bound to the laws of the real world (well most of them).

I can provide (kinda good) sketches and scripts have been posted in the writing area, and on out facebook group, but that can wait for later. Anything can be provided upon request. Hope I answered these questions to your liking Sacros. Good luck with your own art which is very good by the way. Hope to see good things from you in the future.
