Wow. I think these are really great! But, the only thing I would suggest improving on is the speed of your hits and the time for impact. To me some of those hits stay on the other guy for too long, and look like he is only touching him. If you could make him pull his fist away or something just after impact, ot will look better and even have more force!
But keep it up!
*phew*~ people at NG are so good, I am going to need to get better!
Thanks man :) anyone else have care to share what they think?
Looks amazing keep u he good work, just be sure to add sound effects.
ugh
Yea, i still gotta add sounds and stuff but im basically half way through this animation. Thanks for the feedback :)
Scott P.
Really liking all the positive feedback :D if anybody else cares to share go right ahead. all advice is taken into consideration!
On the one titled fight 2, I only suggest following through with the second punch. They look great, but I think if you pushed the attackers fist passed the guy's body it would look a bit more natural.
What do you think the best way to make motion blur? because i never used gradients

The best way? Dunno. I did it my way.. The only way I know =P Also used some photoshop in "post". I don't think photoshop touches would compliment your style too well though, there is a lot of Flash going on so a photo-real-ish touch could stand out funny.
If you've never used gradients, now should be the time to try it out. You should probably make it a point to mess with every tool and function in the program. The worst that could happen.. uhm.. you'd have to reinstall the program.
im going for broke and gonna do it rofl alright wish me luck D:
To make a gradient trail, you have to go to your colour window, then go to type, and select linear. Once you do that it would come up with a box near the bottom with two markers at either ends of the box. Make both markers the colour you want the trail to be, then select one of them to have an alpha of 0%. Then just make a shape where you want your trail to be, and fill it in with the paint bucket tool. After, select the Gradient transform tool and rotate/stretch/do what ever you like. Make it one frame, and just experiment and pick a style you prefer. What fps do you use by the way?

Well, once you add the sound and so on, I think it'll be almost perfect. However, as someone else already said, I think you should speed it up a little to make it seem more natural. Apart from that, I wouldn't change anything.
There's all sorts of surprises down here. And balloons. They float.
THEY ALL FLOOAAATT.
When i sketched out the scene with just the body i found that 14fps was a nice fast flow to it. And yea i do see that some punched stick to the body a little to long. And thnx for the tip on gradients gonna fool around with that for a while.
looks like a front pager to me if the animation is that solid all the way through and you make a sweet ass fatality

14 FPS? That's wayyyy too slow. 24 at least (I use 22) 30 at most is what most people use. If you use 14 FPS then. . .well it'll turn out kind of choppy.
But im already through half the animation in 14fps, if i change it to 20fps then its going to go fast as shit lol. most of the fights are smooth like the those two dump files i posted sooo idk what to do now that you say its too slow

Redo the entire thing if you really want a good flash.
You'll have to do almost twice the work, adding more frames (drawing more pictures) but it'll turn out to be great.
Or you can continue with this and have a mediocre flash. It's up to you.
Alright ill try to up the fps. hopefully i dont screw up :I
i like your stuff but even if the blurs look good id avoid them cuz they lag stuff so bad it becomes impossible to watch for most ppl with mid to low end computers
also i dont know if you really need to get the fps up, it already looks good and it will be lotsa a work even if its true that it will look smoother in 20/24 fps (done in ones). its obviously up to you but 14 fps on ones is almost like working on twos on 24, just an opinion though
ama gon chill
probably , might just keep it the same and just take the risk

It's completely up to you, but speaking from what little experience I have, 14 just isn't enough to support a flash. Especially if it's fighting. If you keep it at 14, expect it to turn out choppy.
I was also going to point that out ( wow I'm posting on this topic a lot), okay so you have 14 fps right? Well it is not essential to have 24 fps but like another guy said, 20/24 is fine. But unlike another guy said; do not restart the whole animation again! Keep what you have and just follow the steps below:
So start off by changing the frame rate to 20 fps.
Once you have done that, play the movie and watch it very carefully.
Notice which bits in particular are too fast.
Then drag the red marker above the time line to the frames that were fast and press f5~ this is called double framing.
Once you have done all the double framing, it should be a little bit slower, but in some cases it should still be fast.
Press f7 on all of the bare frames and use the onion skin to see the frames on either side, then redraw the frame; this is called adding inbetween frames.
After this, watch the animation again, and double frame where you think it is too fast again.
This time, there is no need to add an inbetween, just watch it again and show us the results; I'm sure it will be better.
Trust me man, I may have joined a few days ago, but I have experience worth over a year...
I say frame it better. The characters have no room to move
which is why the moves look tight and the anatomy is squashed
in order to accomodate this arbitary set up
you can fix frame rates, add blurs and sound effects but first thing
first, frame it better.... should have been obvious in the rough stage
Alright, ill see what i can do with it. ill be sure to send a dump file once i get some scenes done
This is what i got. I added sound effects to it too. If any body has any good free sound effect sites please let me know lol

Wow, that was really good! The animaton was as good as it has been, and looks great. The audio sounds a little late and early in some parts, bu not by much. Plus the SFX sounds natural anyhow.
Here is a site I found with free SFX if you need it. Has a decent amount, but probably not that many.
BDSyndicate. There are none of us. Just the rest of us.
Thanks man. So should i keep the frame rate like that or keep it the same? i think the new one is a little faster which i like
