I don't think this is the right place to post this but i really need help.
So I have jailbroken around 10 ipod 3g's, and i recently got an iPod 4.
I have decided to Jailbreak my new ipod.So, i tried Limera1n but my ipod got stuck in recovery so i reststored it, i tried again and it said it had done but it hasn't, I tried with GreenPois1n, again it said it had finished I am yet to see Cydie on my home screen.

Anyone know why this is happening ( I have 4.2.1 Firmware )

Jailbreaking is not illegal, so we can probably discuss it on Newgrounds.

Cydia does not appear on the screen immediately, you usually need to run another app that comes with the Jailbreak.

For jailbreaking my iPod touch, I used GreenPois0n.

Yes, it's legal, now.

The sad truth is that we had to fight for the right to use the devices we buy in the manner we choose. We shouldn't be so bound by the whims of large corporations in the US, but we tend to be.

Downgrade to 4.1 first. I have an iPod Touch 3g and I'm running Limera1n on 4.1 firmware. Download the firmware here (but DON'T run it yet). Plug your iPod into your computer, put it into DFU mode, then shift+click on the update button in iTunes. Open the 4.1 firmware there and it should restore your iPod to 4.1. Then run Limera1n and all should be good.
