I was taught to defend myself from anyone, regardless of age or sex. If someone assaults me, I will respond with as much force as necessary to ensure my own safety. I feel this is an entirely reasonable position. If a woman chooses to attack me, she should expect that I will show her no mercy.
Of course, I do not start fights. I only engage in them when I lack suitable alternatives.

And to answer your question, I would think up a really dumb hypothetical question, and ask the BBS what they would do in that situation.

Being castrated is one of those times where it is alright to defend yourself imo.
I have been taught never to hit women, but in defense of my family jewels I could make the exception.
