I looked through the World Book Encyclopedia and most of the biographies there are American. I also go over to KnowYourMeme and I find that most memes are from America. I guess it might be argued that those sources are biased because they are American (at least I think they are), but there seem to be at least more world famous people from America than any other country. In fact, I wish I learn MORE about other countries.
