I have already fired a 9mm, .40, and .357
I have not fired a 10mm, .45, or .380
before you guys tell me I am not old enough to legally buy a firearm let me assure you that I know this. I will give my parents the money and they will buy it for me... how simple.

Due to the law in this country, these are the only rounds I'm allowed to use and are therefore my favourite.

I am surprised you can handle the recoil from those monster rounds.

Yes. It's a shame that a lot of people underestimate its powers.
For a hand gun i would suggest a S&W Compact pistol chambered for 10mm/.45 cal that's already been used.
keep in mind the only fire arms i have fired are a Winchester model 1894 chambered for 30-30 and a .177 pellet gun
A toil today is a lesson tomorrow.
Some rounds I've screwed around with for handguns:
.22 short
9mm parabellum
.45 ACP
7.62 Tokarev
I'm going to be a bit of a bandywagon guy and go with .45 ACP rounds.

I see what EpicFail meant by all your topics are about War/guns. Seriously, can you tell us what this is about? Have you been overclocking on COD? Are you planning to join the army? Is your subconcious planning to join the army?

Maybe he just recently got his first gun from daddy, and now is all obsessed over it.
Just you wait until he discovers the power of his own little gun, then the topics will change subject quite quickly.

.45's are pretty ignorant to shoot.
Enjoy the carpal tunnel...
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

OR if you got the cash to blow get a SiG Sauer P228 Chambered for .40 S&W or a P229 chambered for .357 magnum. i heard they are pretty good.
A toil today is a lesson tomorrow.
Pistol whipping is cheaper.
But seriously, I haven't shot many pistols. Last time we rented a gun, it was some ridiculous Dirty Harry special thing, and I wasn't a fan.
honestly since you are new to guns, a .38/.357 will be your best bet
make sure you fire at least 500+ rounds (preferably a 1000 or so) so you get used to your new gun
i'd also recommend a revolver instead of a semi-auto since they're easier to fire, easier to clean, and less prone to jamming

I am not new to guns though. I have fired a few round types and I already own three guns myself with one being a .357 (in all honesty it stays in my moms drawer because she is scared of robbers, but I can use it all I want) and that pistol is a revolver. I am thinking about saving up and getting a Glock 19, since it holds 15 rounds and a 9mm is a like kicking round with plenty of recoil.

If you're just gonna shoot for fun, like as target practice, then i suggest something smaller than a .45. A .45 is just gonna make your arm really sore, but if you go with something like a .22 or .357 then your arm might not feel like it was just pounded with a sledgehammer after every time you shoot. Plus i think .22 and .357 ammo is cheaper than the .45 (I think, i'm not sure, you might want to check that).

firing a few round types and three guns sounds pretty new to me
but we probably have different definitions of what "new" is
i'm personally a sports shooter so i've been to the gun range at least monthly for over 7 years
and i still consider myself pretty "new" to guns
