Your negative reaction at him mostly comes from the fact that he earns so much money and publicity by doing what he does.

I'll admit I don't completely like his way of doing what he does, but it's his style, and I can't interfere with it, and YouTube doesn't seem to mind, so really, ranting about how stupid it is how he does it is extremely useless in my opinion.

Actually, loads more views are given to the video he "reviews". The number of comments saying "I got here because of RWJ" are countless. Normally, he shows about 2 min long videos, shows the middle of it so that people go see the entire clip. Personnally, I watch RWJ's videos, see if anything is funny in there, and go watch the whole video by myself, preferably from the original owner of the said funny/awesome video. And dare I say thousands of people do the exact same as me.

Yes you are jealous, not directly though, but it's in your mind, you really wouldn't mind that much if he were just a guy with 99 subscribers and 1000 views on all his video's.

Then, surprisingly, Gagsy kind of opened my eyes, saying I was jealous, I of course told her to fuck off, but then, I realized that it was partially jealousy, because so many people listened to them.

In this case there is 0 reason to hate on RWJ, he's just making videos to promote other videos even more.
He has fans who like him, and haters, haters with no reason to hate, because you are not being forced to watch him.

Not everyone does that. Understand that there is a lazy group of people out there who only watch the video from Ray's point of view. "Oh we gotta see what Ray says!!" Now to say "thousands of people do the exact same as me." That's very bland, you barely could list off one-thousand people you know, people will react in different ways. Ray gives no reason to watch the original videos, it's that simple.

You're not really understanding the jist of it. He does devalue the originals by whoring it out to everyone. Ray is not "the viral video hero" he doesn't say, "oh wow, your video was hilarious, i'm going to make it popular for you." Instead he says, "i'm totally going to use this for my comedy routine and make some hardcore cash." That's it, and if you think i'm jealous, read the response I gave to the other guy that said that.

Also, he actually does give the video more views, when I see a funny video through RayWilliamJohnson I always send my friends the original video which is in his video description.

TWO: Most of the video's he reviews are already extremely viral, and the views he is getting on his own video's are mostly from all his subscribers, the original video's get their views from YouTube lurkers etc.
RayWilliamJohnson makes his subscribers go to those video's, or send them through to their friends.

I once saw a video gain about 2 million views (from 2 million) after RWJ reviewed it.

Also, if you don't like it, make your own channel, and do it your way.

except you're talking about youtube buddy. spill.com does some of the best reviews, and they did one on "Black Swan". They've been doing video reviews for a long time now. And all of a sudden, the review was taken down by Fox, and they lost youtube partnership. I feel wronged, because unlike them, they are actually doing things by the book, Ray on the other hand is not.

I agree, you have a good point. Ray does generate some views to the original. but it's common sense, once you seen the video once, you're probably not going to see it again. Am I right?

Ray makes no money off of the clips he places in his videos. Secondly, he helps to BOOST their views, because his comedic wit makes you want to see the original to get some context. I think he does an excellent service to youtube for this.

Furthermore, the videos he posts are already popular. He always exclaims how many views they have. I don't know why anyone goes to his videos to see other people's videos. Thats buying a picture of a painter painting.

That couldn't be farther from the truth. In every video he places ads and makes money off of views. In a way he is getting money off the videos because half of his material is video footage, and that's what people clicked on his video to see. He's like an "America's funniest home videos" version of youtube. and to say he's not making money off his videos? he's a youtube partner afterall..

I really don't know or care about some dude who got a review taken down, but my point is is that he is covered under fair use.

not everyone keeps up with viral videos, and it's always good to know what's popular at the moment. I understand where you're coming from, but not all of Ray's videos have gigantic views. so with that said, he's reviewing any funny video.
