Hello everyone. For all of you who have completed at least one novel, this is a place to share that novel, and to receive reviews from your peers on said works.

I myself have finished my novel Two Halves four months ago, though it doesn't deserve a mention, due to the fact that it was more of an apparatus for me to spread my wings as a writer and develop my meager skills. I would be far too embarrassed to have it published. Though my second novel is turning out to be a much more interesting and overall better work, it is entitled Underside.

How about you Writing forum? Show me your novels.

Should you define more rigidly what a 'novel' is? By that, I mean word count, number of pages, etc.
Also, I think we need to establish a little more structure to the thread, other than 'post your novels!' because they're works that people have poured their heart and soul into over a period of time, and that's not something that we want taken for granted.
I understand, appreciate and agree with your enthusiasm, but I think a little more discussion in the Lounge is required before we go ahead with this.

Yeah, I did not think this out. Well let's define a novel first.

Novel: a work of fiction or creative nonfiction more than 80,000 word in length.

It is a good idea to discuss this more in the lounge, but I would not like this thread to go to waste.

Courtesy of Google and Wikipedia.

I had to use the link Quick HTML button three times to actually enter that URL because I fail at doing things.

This thread seems as if it turning into a discussion of what the thread should be. Which is fine, we can create a real one later. Getting to the point, that definition is a lot more flexible than mine, and will most likely work better for a thread. So I say we go with wikipedia's def.

Maybe we should also make two separate threads, one for critique for people who are already done, and a support thread for those still I'm progress. Creating them separately will help avoid confusion.

I don't see why this should be any different from the Writing Review Request thread. There's already a perfectly serviceable thread, why make a new one for the same purpose?
